THE DANCE
I sit here in my room gazing at the full moon. The radios on though I pay no attention because my hearts in pieces. My thoughts are only of him and I wonder will we ever be together again. Just then a song cuts through my thoughts.
"Looking back on the memory of the dance we shared neath' the stars above. For a moment all the world was right. How could I have known that you'd ever say good-bye.?"
As I listen to the words memories a lifetime ago start to flood my mind and my heart. My tears start to fall just as they did so many years ago. He held me close as we danced our last dance and then he said good- bye.
" And now I'm glad I didn't know the way it all would end the way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance."
I was just coming down the stairs to join the party. He startled me as he grabbed my hand to ask me to dance. As we stated to dance, I felt the world around us melt away it was as if we were one as we danced I felt tears running down my cheeks because I knew this dance would be our last.
"Holding you I held everything for a moment wasn't I a Queen.But if I'd only knew how the Queen would. Hey whose to say you knowI might have changed it all."
The memories are as scary now as they were then. The palace was under attack. I ran through thepalace looking for Mother, the Scouts, anyone.I found the Sailor Scouts first but they were dead. I ran seeing my best friends like that was just too much for me. Then I saw her, the one causing all of this. Queen Beryl.My blood ran cold in my veins as she spoke to me.The evil queen shot a dark blast at me. The blast was blocked by a rose. There he was my love, my prince. She tried to get him to join her but he said no. She shot a blast at him and he was swept up in some kind of whirlwind. He told me to run, but I didn't instead I jumped after him. We held hands for brief moment as another blast killed us both.
" And now I m glad glad I didn't know the way it all would end the way it all would go. Our live are better left to chance. I could have missed the pain but I d of had to miss the dance. Yes my life is better left to chance I could have missed the pain but I'd have miss the dance."
As the song comes to an end I wipe the tears away. I look at the moon and make a promise I will find you Darien. I will defeat Queen Beryl and make thing peaceful again. This I promise in the name of the Moon.
