Her eyes shot open. She was sweating and breathing hard. Emma Cullen was dreaming again. Her silver hair was spread out over her pillow. Her golden eyes were blinking rapidly. She sat up and shook it off. "The fifth dream this week," she said aloud. She decided not to tell anyone. She slowly walked down the two flights of stairs. Sometimes she wondered why she decided to have the room at the very top floor. She rubbed her eyes as she came downstairs. "Good morning, Emma," Edward greeted. Emma blinked, confused. Then she remembered that it was Saturday and not Friday. She sighed and waved her hand lazily at him. "Someone looks like se could use some sleep," Alice said. "Were you up all night on that video game of yours?" Esme asked. Emma shrugged and grinned. "Maybe," she replied. "I don't even know why we got that for her in the first place," Rosalie put in. "Because you guys were sick of me complaining that I had nothing to do so you gave it to me to get me out of your hair. And I must say, it was effective." Emma sat down at the kitchen table and began to eat her breakfast in silence. She took a breath as if to say something, but then exhaled and decided to keep it to herself. "Something on your mind?" Carlisle asked. He was also sitting at the kitchen table, reading the newspaper. Carlisle was peering at her, as if to try and read her expression. Emma hated it when he did that. She looked at him briefly, then looked away again and shook her head. Carlisle seemed to buy it, because he went back to reading the paper. Emma gave up on breakfast and went upstairs again.

She got dressed in her regular out fit, a t-shirt, jeans and her favorite pair of brown leather boots. She went into the bathroom and splashed water on her face. Edward came and stood in the doorway. "What's up?" he asked. Emma looked at him in the mirror. She shook her head slightly then decided to tell him. "I saw that dream again. I saw him coming for me," she replied. Edward raised an eyebrow. "It's weird. Those dreams have left you alone for a while now. Haven't they?" he asked, as if to ask her to say it wasn't true. "They've actually haunted me for five days now," Emma replied. Edward looked at her for a moment, then grabbed her wrist and pulled her back down stairs. "Emma had the dream again," he announced bluntly. Emma sighed and tried not to kill him. Carlisle stared into her face. She hated it when he did that too. "When?" he asked casually, looked back at his paper. "Fifth night in a row." Carlisle let the paper slip out of his hands. Emmett muted the TV. All eyes were on her. "Fifth?" Alice asked. Emma nodded. She ripped her wrist out of Edward's grip. "I don't understand why Aro wants you so badly," Emmett said. "Isn't that what we all want to know?" Emma asked with her voice raising. "Whoa, take a chill pill, Ems," Rosalie said. Emma gave her the death glare. She could take being called Ems by anyone else but Rosalie. Carlisle and Esme exchanged a glance. "Emma, we're allowing you to drop out of school," Esme declared. "Yes!" Emma raised her arms in victory. "Wait, is this one of those things that benefits me then ultimately backfires?" Esme nodded. "Damn it!"
