"So, you're telling me that if you put this little thing in water, it will grow to be five times it size in three days?" Tamaki asked excitedly, observing the tiny plastic stegosaur.
"That's the general idea sempai." Haruhi sighed. He always got so enthusiastic over little things like this. But it was kind of funny how he did. She couldn't help but notice the tiny part of her that very much enjoyed it buried deep within the annoyance of his childish actions
He unwrapped the little toy from its packaging, fetched a glass of water, and dropped it in. He kneeled down to the level of the table, staring intently at the miniature dinosaur.
"You're not going to be able to SEE it grow sempai." Haruhi told him, rolling her eyes.
"B-b-but Haruhi!" Tamaki responded, pouting and letting his bottom lip quiver. She sighed.
"Fine. You can sit there and watch it if you like. But you're going to be disappointed." She said. "Now if you don't mind, I have to go to work." She sighed, grabbing her briefcase and heading out the door. "I have a case against Wright today... it's not going to be an easy one. Somehow that rookie always manages to win..."
"All right. I'll see you tonight." Tamaki said, smiling at her, and getting up to give her a quick peck on the lips before going back to watch the dinosaur grow.
One would think, at 35, Tamaki Suoh would have developed more... well, just more.
Then again, one would also think after ten years of marriage and two kids, Haruhi Suoh would have stopped calling her husband sempai.
