Conflicting Views

All I can say is we both exist,

In this land of war and ignorant bliss,

We use to call each other friends,

Now you are my fiend,

You choose your fate, and I choose mine,

We both believe are goals are divine,

You choose to change the world from within,

I choose the path of destruction and sin,

I used many men as my tools,

They unknowingly were brought down to the rank of fools,

You said if you went up in rank,

You could stop the governments roaming tanks

I told you that only a few could resist greed,

And you'll neglect the common man's need,

Years past since that time,

When we smiled while beautiful bells chimed,

The masses followed me like a flock,

I tell you to give up by the 12 strike of the clock,

You tell me I don't deserve to live,

But you'll give the masses all the government can give,

We hold up our guns towards each other's heads,

I pull away my cloak to show you my death will mean we'll both be dead.

But still you fired, my friend,

Thought it means both our end.
