Chapter 1: Absence
"Absence makes the heart grow fonder."
Riku frowned as he watched the clock. The day was passing entirely too slow for his liking. It had been almost a week since he had last seen his boyfriend, and he wasn't pleased about it. He snorted as he thought about what Kairi had said to him the previous day. 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder my ass,' he thought. He almost jumped to his feet as he heard the apartment door open. He remained sitting as Sora's form appeared around the corner.
"Riku!" Sora cried as he flung himself into Riku's awaiting arms. "Did you miss me? I missed you!"
Riku chuckled, "Of course I did." As he said this Sora snuggled into his chest and Riku smiled. "Although, I definitely didn't mind having a week of peace and quiet." Sora pulled away and looked at him, pouting.
"Riku, you're so mean. I'll remember that next time," Sora said. Riku frowned, he didn't like the idea of spending another week without his boyfriend. That meant he'd be counting down the days, hours, and minutes until the brunette was back in his arms. He leaned down and kissed the younger boy, taking his mind off of his previous thoughts.
Absence really does make the heart grow fonder.
