Disclaimer: I don't own Pound Puppies or any character from the series.

Note: One of the things I hated (and I can make a list of them if I dedicate myself if I care about it) when they retconned the cartoon to make Katrina Stoneheart the pound's owner was that no explanation has been offered to why she doesn't tear it down as she intended when it was Holly's. In this fic, I'm assuming Millicent Trueblood, from whom Holly inherited the Puppy Pound in the original version, made a different will.

The Last Will and Testament of Millicent Trueblood

At the recently deceased Millicent Trueblood's residence, her greedy niece Katrina Stoneheart was eager to know what Aunt Millie left her. With her are Brattina, Katrina's equally greedy daughter; Catgut, their pet cat; and, to their displeasure, Katrina's kind niece Holly.

"Mommy dearest, why did we bring Holly with us?" Brattina whined.

"The lawyer Aunt Millie hired said her presence was required at the will reading, Brattina." Katrina explained.

"Ahem." Said the lawyer. "If everyone called for the reading is here, I'll read the will now, unless there are objections."

"No objections. Just read it!" Katrina rudely demanded it.

"I, Millicent Trueblood, being of sound mind, do hereby bequeath all my estate to my niece Katrina Stoneheart."

"Yeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhh!" Katrina and Brattina shouted and Brattina started dancing with Catgut in celebration.

"However," the lawyer interrupted the celebration. "she'll only inherit if she agrees to keep my Puppy Pound operational."

"WHAT?" Katrina shouted in outrage. "She can't do that!"

"Yes, she can." The lawyer replied, annoyed with the interruptions. May I continue?"

"Yeah, whatever."

"If she refuses, her niece Holly will inherit my estate." The lawyer read. "If she agrees but fails to keep it operational, Holly will still inherit my estate. If my Puppy Pound is kept operational for the rest of Katrina's life, she'll be allowed to bequeath the estate she inherited from me in any way she desires. This is all I have to say about my assets."

Signed,

Millicent Trueblood

"She can't do that!" Brattina whined.

"I'm afraid she can." Katrina sadly replied.

"Now that I've finished reading the will, are you going to accept the terms, Mrs. Stoneheart?"

"If I do, will I have to run the Puppy Pound the same way my Aunt did?" Katrina asked.

"No, Mrs. Stoneheart." The lawyer answered. "You may run it in any way you desire as long as you keep running it."

"Wonderful!" She exclaimed with a smile that would scare any puppies present if there were any.

THE END

The lawyer isn't a character from the series. He was just someone needed for the story.
