Still, I wish that Shadow was in the Sonic Boom show. I don't know if he ever will show in the episodes.

It had been a month since Shadow met Nebula, they were getting along pretty well and that it softened Shadow when he sees or thinks about Nebula. But when it comes to Sonic, Shadow gets a bit annoyed by his cocky attitude and his jokes.
Shadow and Nebula are now at the Meh Burger, the fast-food court in the Village. Nebula was getting irritated by Dave the Intern that won't stop talking about how he's a fan of Dr. Eggman and she so wants to punch him in the face.
"I asked for French fries, man. Not to hear about your biggest fan of Dr. Eggman" Nebula crossed her arms.
"Sorry, but he's a genius" Dave said and gave her the fries. Nebula snatches the French fries angrily and walks to the table where Shadow is.
"Man, I hate that guy" Shadow sighs.
"Yeah, why would someone like Eggman?" Nebula said.
"I have no idea. I guess that rodent looks like a nerd and probably likes the way that Eggman has a 300 IQ brain" Shadow said, a bit grumpy.
"Yeah, say Shadow got any plans after lunch?" Nebula shrugs it off and came up with an idea.
"I have no idea. Last week we took down one of Lyric's robots. And I'm not even sure if Lyric is still alive which I'm getting curious about" Shadow said, take a sip of his soda.
"I believe he is. Let's look after him later" Nebula said.
Later at Shadow's shack, he gave the keys to Sonic.
"Make sure that your badger friend Sticks doesn't vandalize my home please" Shadow said to Sonic.
"Yes, sir!" Sonic salutes like a soldier. Shadow rolled his eyes but smirks at his blue rival.
"Good, see you around Sonic" Shadow salutes back and rushes to meet up with Nebula. Sonic smiled at that Shadow is more polite rather than mean.
"I really see that he has softened up" Sonic said to himself.

"I know I haven't faced that snake before but I need to know what he really does" Nebula said to Shadow, walking along in the jungle.
"He got telekinesis, super strength, lasers and who knows what else" Shadow mentioned a few of Lyric's abilities.
"Yikes. I'll say he's a dangerous one. Anything else?" Nebula said.
"He once used me by placing a mind control device on my head" Shadow said.
"So we better be careful" Nebula nods as they came out from the jungle.

At where Lyric has been defeated, his motionless body began to move, his eyes opened.
He looked around and no one was there.
"HAAAAHAHAHAHA! I am back!" he laughed evilly.
He then growls lowly, "You're gonna pay for kicking me off the ship Shadow!" Lyric shoots his lasers into the air, unleashing his anger.

Shadow and Nebula were simply taking a break from their walk in the jungle. They were now having some fresh bananas for lunch and having a small talk to each other.
"I don't believe those monster stories" Nebula smirked and took a bite on her banana.
"I love to beat monsters around here" Shadow chuckled.
"I can see why you like dangerous things" Nebula chuckled and tossed her banana peel aside.
"So what kind of monsters do you know?" Shadow asked her.
Nebula tries to think of a monster she knows, "Don't know. Maybe aliens are like monsters"
"Oh, I don't like monsters that are too cute to be one" Shadow tells her what he thinks of cute monsters.
"Me neither. I don't know if….z-z-zombies….count as monsters" Nebula stuttered at the word 'zombie'.
"They do, Nebula. Wait, you're afraid for zombies?" Shadow noticed her fear.
"Yup. It's my biggest fear" Nebula said, "Which I have a hard time trying to fight this phobia"
"Oh, I don't know what I'm afraid of" Shadow said, shrugs his shoulders and tossed the banana peel aside.
"And speaking of fears, do you know what Lyric is afraid of?" Nebula asked.
"I have no idea. But let's keep going before sunset" Shadow said.
Nebula agreed and they continued their walk.
Sonic was sitting on a sun chair near Shadow's house while guarding it.
"Well, nothing ever happens right now, my team sure keeps an eye on...Sticks" Sonic lifts his shades and saw Sticks walking up to Shadow's front door.
"Sticks!" Sonic yelled to stop her from going near the door.
"Oh, hi Sonic. Why are you yelling at me?" Sticks backs off.
"Shadow told me to guard his house and you shall not touch anything inside" Sonic warned.
"And why?" Sticks asked curiously.
Sonic rubs his eyes and continues, "He doesn't want you to vandalize his home. Remember the last time you did?" he said.
Sticks remembered last time and gulps in fear, "Oh, ok" Sticks said and ran off in the jungle.
"Phew, now I better get something to drink" Sonic walks to his cooler and took out a soda.
"Nebs, we should land. I can see you're feeling exhausted right now" Shadow said. Nebula was lifting Shadow's armpits while flying in the air and she sure was feeling tired from flying and carrying the male hedgehog for 2 hours.
"Don't worry, I can handle this" Nebula said but felt very sweaty and tired.
"You sure you can handle this?" Shadow asked her again.
"Okay I'm wrong, Shads" Nebula pants and flies down to find somewhere to rest, "Man, I can't be tired right now. What if that snake shows up?"
"We'll fight him. I know how to beat him, I did it before" Shadow said to her with concern.

Lyric was creating new minions of his robots.
"Once my minions are done, I'll show Shadow how revenge feels" Lyric said and crushed the rock with his mechanical arm. Some of his newly created minions were activated by him.

Shadow and Nebula was sitting up on a mountain and had their break. Since they were a bit high up on the mountain, they had to make a fire.
"The fire won't warm us for long, Shadow" Nebula shivered a little.
Shadow saw this and he really did not want her to catch a cold, he blushed nervously and scoots towards her.
Nebula looked at him and smiled a bit, "Thank you" she said and nuzzled on his chest fur.
"You're welcome, Nebula" Shadow stroked her ponytail quills.
"*Puuuuuuuurrrrrrr*" Nebula accidently let out a cute purr and quickly covered her mouth, blushing red on her muzzle.
"Did you just purr, Nebula?" Shadow heard her purring.
"Eh yeah, did I sound cute?" Nebula asked him.
"It sounds really cute. And it's perfectly normal to purr" Shadow said and pets her quills again to hear her purr.
She closed her eyes while purring and Shadow liked her resting on his chest fur. He took out a blanket and wraps it around both him and her. Nebula then heard his heartbeats and opens her eyes halfway.
"I hear your heartbeat, Shadow" Nebula said tiredly.
"I know Nebula, that's because I'm happy" Shadow said calmly.
The next morning, Shadow packed the blanket into his backpack and Nebula stretches out, ready to fly again.
"Shadow, are you ready to fly again?" Nebula asked him if he's ready.
"Yup I'm ready, it may not be far enough" Shadow said and goes up to her. She held him by the arms and flies up into the air, flying at the direction Shadow showed her.
"See anything, Shadow?" Nebula asked, holding him up while flying.
"I don't see anything yet, except a light below us" Shadow looked down and saw something like a light.
"It's getting closer" Nebula saw the light getting closer to them.
It was a flying Lyric snake and it knocked Shadow off Nebula, Shadow dives down in the air and prepares to land on his feet with his metallic shoes.
"Shadow!" Nebula flew down and caught him in her arms.
"Thanks Nebula, I didn't have to waste fuel in my shoes" Shadow said.
"Yeah, no problem Shadow" Nebula said, flying away from the Lyric robot.
"You can't escape from me, hedgehogs!" Lyric went after them.
Nebula flew down to the tracks where Metal Sonic used to be months ago. She drops Shadow and he began to activate his shoes and ran at full speed from Lyric.
Lyric flew in front of him and lifts large rocks with his telekinesis and threw them like Metal Sonic did.
"Watch out!" Nebula flew down and runs along with Shadow, she punched the rock back to Lyric with her strength.
He catches two of them with his hands and one with his tail.
"Foolish hedgehog, you can't beat me!" he threw them back again and they destroyed the bridge in front of Shadow.
"Hahahaha!" Lyric laughed and whacks Nebula aside with his tail.
"Ugh!" Nebula got hit but she managed to recover and stays focus on her flight ability. She quickly flew to Shadow and grabs his arm, lifting him up in the air.
"Thanks Nebula" Shadow said as he got carried by Nebula. Lyric then prepare to mind control one of them.
"You were useful once Shadow, but now it's not you!" Lyric threw his boomerang shaped mind control device at Nebula! It hit her forehead.
"AAAHH! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!" Nebula screamed and her eyes shrunk from being mined controlled. She dropped Shadow but he perfectly lands fine without any injuries.
But it was now too late, Lyric has her under his control.
"NEBULA, SNAP OUT OF IT!" Shadow shouted.
"AAAAAHHHHH!" Nebula was going out of control from the device on her head.
"Hehehehehe! Now Shadow! Behold your girlfriend's fury!" Lyric laughed evilly. Nebula stops struggling and stands still.
"Kill him" Lyric orders Nebula to attack Shadow, her eyes glow purple and she fires purple energy balls at him but misses. Shadow really did not want to hurt her but had to snap her out of it.
"I need to tear off that mind control device!" Shadow thought and grabs Nebula in a bear-hug.
"Get off me you idiot!" Nebula yelled. Her eyes glowed some more.
"No you!" Shadow grabs the mind control device and breaks it.
"NO!" Lyric saw this and could not control Nebula's brain anymore.
"Ow…what's going on?" Nebula said but realized something right when she blacked out, "Lyric" she growled in rage.
"Now, now, calm down. I can make you mightier if you join me, and I can make you the greatest fighter on Earth or you wish to die with Shadow?!" Lyric backs off a bit.
Shadow and Nebula growled in anger as they slowly walks up to the snake.
"So be it!" Lyric snaps and fires his laser at both, knocking them out.
"See you around, hedgehogs. I will upgrade my minions and then kill you both myself!" Lyric said as he flies away from the hedgehogs.
Shadow and Nebula got up and they seem to be perfectly fine from the hit but Shadow was VERY pissed off for what Lyric did to Nebula.
"You just wait, Lyric. I'm gonna make you suffer" Shadow said with a cold dark voice.
"I feel bad for letting myself get mind controlled" Nebula said with regret.
"Don't worry. It happened to me once too, that was making me go rough against Sonic and his friends" Shadow said.
"There's gotta be a way to defeat him. Do you know his weakness, Shadow?" Nebula asked.
"Well yeah I do, his armor is a weakness" Shadow tells her about one of Lyric's weaknesses.
"Okay, maybe it's the core in his armor?" Nebula guessed, "But that's gonna be tricky for us"
"Possibly" Shadow said.
"Wait! Reptiles are weak to cold climate. So if we can find a cold area….." Nebula said.
"…Lyric will fall into hibernation. That's it! Nebula, you're a genius!" Shadow hugged her really tight.
"Hehehe! Shadow!" Nebula laughed and he let her go of the hug.
"Sorry, first time I've got very excited. I used to be grumpy you know" Shadow said.
Nebula giggled and carries Shadow, flying to where Lyric took off.
It didn't take them long when they found the snake building new robots. Nebula flew down to hide with Shadow and to come up with a plan.
"I think I know where the cold area is on Bygone island. It's not that far from here" Shadow told her.
"Okay. So I'll distract Lyric in the air, you give me the signal to help me find you" Nebula said.
"Okay, see you at the island" Shadow nods and speeds off to find the cold area on this island. Nebula then sneaks up to distract Lyric.
"Oh, Lyric!" Nebula called him out to get his attention.
"You!" Lyric hissed and attacks Nebula with his laser beams from his tail, but he missed this time.
"My turn, snake breath! Haha!" Nebula threw her purple energy blasts at him which hit him.
"Urgh! Now I'm mad! GAAAAAH!" he whacked Nebula into some uncompleted robots of his.
"Ow! Come and get me, Lyric!" Nebula shouted and got up. Flying ahead while Lyric flew after her.
"Hold still, female rodent!" Lyric keeps blasting his lasers at her but she dodged them.
"Try to get me you spineless freak!" Nebula did a funny grin and this just made Lyric angrier.
"Gaaaah! Don't call me that!" Lyric hissed at her. Nebula then stuck her tongue out.
"Phhhbbbbttttttt!" she blows raspberries at him and flew towards Bygone Island.
"You are one twisted female I've ever seen!" Lyric growled.
"Oh, yeah? Well you don't have any legs but your mechanic arms! Oh, that's right! Because you're a robotic snake!" Nebula glared and flies a little faster.
"ARRRRGH!" Lyric growled and flew faster; Nebula was closing in and looks down to find the signal from Shadow.
"You can't get away from me, hedgehog!" Lyric growled.
Shadow showed himself and grins that Lyric is gonna get into his and Nebula's trap.
"Here I am, Lyric!" Shadow shouted and Lyrics heard him and flies down, but suddenly he felt tired, "Ugh!" he roughly lands on the snow.
"Uhh…..what is this…..white stuff….?" Lyric getting sleepy.
"It's so called snow. A cold area that is the season of winter. Since you're a snake, reptiles can't survive in cold areas" Shadow smirks evilly.
"Nighty, night, Lyric. Have a nice deep hibernation" Nebula chuckled with a grin.
"Cuuuuurseeee you aaallll!" Lyric said as he fell asleep. Shadow and Nebula high fives and then hugs each other.
"Oh, yeah! We kicked that snake's butt!" Nebula said, punching in the air with her fists.
"Yeah and there's one more thing I wanna tell you, Nebula" Shadow said to her.
"What is it?" Nebula asked, he pulled her close and got a cute smirk.
He then kissed her hard on the lips. Nebula's eyes widen but eventually closed them and kissed back.
Soon they broke apart for air.
"Shadow, I knew this would come" Nebula said and blushed.
"Me too, I couldn't hold it" Shadow said and held her hands.
"Aww….." Nebula smiled and nuzzled his muzzle with hers.
They kept doing that for 2 minutes.
"Let's go home now shall we?" Shadow said.
"Yeah, let's go home and nothing to fear" Nebula said and flies with Shadow home.
The next day
Shadow appreciated that Sonic guards his house and that Sticks didn't do anything inside. Right now, Shadow was in a lovey-dovey trance and had a goofy smile on his face. Sonic tried to wake him up but nothing seems to work.
"Dude, wake up" Sonic snapping his fingers in front of Shadow.
"Huh, wha?" Shadow finally snaps out of it.
"What were you thinking of?" Sonic asked Shadow.
"Oh, umm…. nothing" Shadow said, Sonic was still curious. What he was thinking about?
"Okay I give up! Me and Nebula are a couple now!" Shadow admits.
"Ah, I knew you had feelings for her, Mr. Ultimate Lover" Sonic chuckled.
Shadow blushed and growled at his rival, "Why you-!" he stopped himself and sighs in defeat. Did not feel like punching Faker like the last time, "Fine, you were right, Faker" he crossed his arms.
"Yeah, I was shy to admit my feelings to Amy too" Sonic scratches his neck.
"I see" Shadow said and did something unexpectedly to the blue hedgehog; he hugged him which really stunned Sonic.
"Uhh…..Shadow?"
Shadow pulled away from the hug but he wasn't done yet. He grabbed Sonic's brown neckerchief and glared, "If you tell anyone about the hug consider yourself a DEAD HEDGEHOG!" he growled in his face but made an evil smirk for scaring the hell out of him. He released him and chuckled at Sonic's reaction.
"I promise, Shadow" Sonic stutters but regained calmness.
"Good boy. Good thing you don't have a hat" Shadow said, calming down too.
"Yeah, it would rather burn. See ya!" Sonic said and left.
"Hmph, what a doofus" Shadow chuckled.
He went back inside and rest on the couch, folding his arms behind his neck.
"Well, at least Nebula and I are a couple and Sonic won't bother us anymore" Shadow said to himself with an rare smile. He picked up the picture of Nebula and looked at it.
The next day, Nebula and Shadow are at the Meh Burger in the village. This time, Shadow punched Dave in the face for talking too much.
"Keep your mouth shut for my girlfriend" Shadow said to him sternly.
He went back to Nebula and they shared their moment.
"You gave him what he deserved, Shadow?" Nebula chuckled.
"Yup. That felt good to get it out of my chest" Shadow grins.
Nebula placed a hand on his cheek and smiled, "You'll always be my Ultimate Lifeform boyfriend" she said sweetly.
"Yeah. But let's save our romantic moment later" Shadow gently got her hand off him.
Nebula growled playfully in disappointment.
"Or perhaps, we could" Shadow changed his mind; they held both hands together like a couple and eskimo-kissed with their noses.
"I love you so much, Shadow" Nebula said with a soft kind voice.
"I love you too, Nebula" Shadow said to her.
All of a sudden, Shadow's ears perk up in alarm.
"Get down!" Shadow pushed Nebula and himself down right when the boomerang almost hit them.
They looked up and saw Sticks standing there.
"Whoops" Sticks gasped nervously.
Shadow is about to lose his temper but Nebula held him down by rubbing his shoulders to calm him down.
"Shhh…..shh…calm down, Shadow. Calm down" Nebula said softly.
"Urgh! Okay. Excuse me, Sticks. But why did you have to throw your boomerang here?" Shadow calms down, yet still serious against Sticks.
"I didn't mean to, Shadow. It's the tree's fault, stupid tree!" Sticks ran to the tree and kicks it.
"You mean you were trying to throw the boomerang at the tree but it went the wrong way?" Nebula asked the feral badger.
"Yeah. And can I have my boomerang back please?" Sticks said, holding out her hand. Shadow gave her the boomerang and she ran off happily.
"She's so cute when she acts innocent" Nebula chuckled.
Shadow was just standing there, glaring at where Sticks ran. Nebula then got an idea to cheer him up.
"Shadow, come on wipe off that silly frown" Nebula goes in front of him, his frown turns back to a smile.
"There's the smile. And I'm sure Sticks didn't mean that. It was just an accident, that's all" Nebula said, rubbing his quills to calm him down.
"I know, Nebula. You are good at calming me down" Shadow said. They finished their lunch and walk their way back home, holding hands together again.
