Sora and I sat on the small, hard bench in the local park. I rested my head on his soft shoulders as we both gazed solemnly at the sunset. "It's really colorful tonight," I said to him. He nodded. We continued are gaze, then I rised my head and looked deep into his eyes with a meaningful look. "Do you miss Riku?" I asked him. He stared back. "Yes, I do...sometimes, but then I think about all the nasty shit he did...then all of those feelings go away," he replied. I was fighting back tears. I knew that Sora really did miss him a lot. After all, they used to be best friends. How could he not miss him? "Same here," I told him. We looked into each others eyes for a very, very long time. Then, we heard a car horn. We looked behind us.
"Sora! Kairi! Hey!" we heard a familar voice say. "Hey, Nammy!" We both replied. Of course, who else would it be? She motioned for us to get in the back of the large, navy blue van...we did. Then, Namine drove towards her house. "Ready for a swim?" she asked us excitedly. "Yes!" we both yelled while nodding in agreement. Sora stared at me and showed me that adorable smile. He kissed my cheek slightly, then we relaxed in our seats as Namine drove off.
It was silent for half the ride, then Sora asked Namine, "Where's Roxas?" "He's already at my house by the pool," she replied. So, like Roxas. He'll probaly be soaked by the time we get there! "What about Olette and Heyner?" I asked her.
"They won't be coming."
"Why?"
"Just because..."
"C'mon, Nammy, tell me!"
"I SAID JUST BECAUSE!"
Sora and I looked at each other a little startled by Namine's reaction. "Okay, then..." I muttered to myself. "I'm sorry, guys," Namine told us. "They are just being assholes latley, and I didn't invite them," she said. We nodded. Why does Nammy always have to be so dramatic. Drama queen!
We arrived at Namine's house just a while later. We saw Roxas floating in the pool. Well, I was right. Impatient, little, Roxy!
We all quickly changed then scrambled over to the pool. Roxas was still floating. Was that normal? NO! "ROXAS!!" Sora screamed. Namine started crying, "GET HIM OUT!!" she wailed. I did. His face was all dis-colored. I gave him CPR...no reply...again...no reply. Nammy was crying even louder. Sora has already dialed 9-1-1. We could hear the sirens wailing. Oh, no!
30 Minutes Later
Everything was like a fast and blurry movie. Nammy was worse off, because the tears in her eyes were making it harder for her to see. I wasn't too hot myself...niether was Sora. They tried everything, but nothing would work. He died soon after that.
Another death...only worse. Roxas was gone. It didn't even make any sense.
Funeral
It was horrible. Everyone sobbed thorugh the whole thing, but I didn't. I had too much on my mind to cry. "Did you pray for this?" I asked Namine. "NO!" she shrieked. "I didn't think so..." I said coldly. There was nothing warm I could say. She sobbed on Heyner's shoulder. He wasn't such an asshole after that. Sora and I stayed to watch the sunset by his grave. "He was my best friend..." Sora said drifting off as if he was dying, too. "Both my best friends died. Maybe I should, too," he told me. That was too much. Now I started crying on his shoulder, too. "NO!" I yelled. He nodded with a apologetic expression. We sat down next to the tombstone...and sobbed...silently...
