"Okay, bye. I'll see you in school Monday," said Hikaru before hanging up the phone and flopping back onto one of the pillows on the bed he shared with Kaoru. Kaoru was lying on his stomach working quietly on his homework.

"So how are things between you and Haruhi?" Kaoru asked without looking up.

Hikaru glanced over at him curiously.

"What do you mean?"

Kaoru shrugged.

"You seem to be calling her a lot lately."

"I needed help with the math homework."

They were both silent for a few minutes before Hikaru started talking again.

"Since we've got nothing to do tomorrow, do you want to go to the new amusement park that opened up? I heard that it's supposed to be really fun! There's a huge rollercoaster that was built!" Hikaru chuckled. "Don't worry, I won't let you get scared, Kaoru. I'll hold your hand when we go over the big hills."

"…why don't you ask Haruhi to go instead?"

"Huh?" Hikaru said in confusion. "Why would I want to go with Haruhi? And anyway, why do you keep bringing up Haruhi all the time? You'd think you had a crush on her or something, Kaoru."

"What! Me? A crush on Haruhi!?! What are you talking about? You're the one who obviously has a crush on her. Are you going to deny it?"

Hikaru sat up angrily and glared at Kaoru.

"Where the hell did you get the idea that I liked her?" he yelled.

"You're always concerned about her and hanging around her more than everyone else. You're constantly trying to find her, your eyes looking for hers and not for mine. You're leaving me behind for her!"

Slamming his fist down into the mattress, Hikaru stared hard into Kaoru's eyes with conviction.

"Of course Haruhi matters to me. She matters to you too, Kaoru if you hadn't noticed. And she matters to Tamaki, and Honey, and Mori, and even Kyoya. She's amusing and I don't understand her, that's why I'm looking at her with my eyes, but I'm certainly not looking at her with my heart. There's only one person there and I'm certainly not going to replace him with some girl I've only known for a few months when I've known him my whole life."

Kaoru turned his head away and looked down at the mattress. Hikaru's face softened and he moved towards his mirror image, grabbing onto his chin with his hand and turning his face up toward his. He leaned their foreheads together and he stared deeply into his brother's eyes.

"Try not to doubt me so much, eh, Kaoru?"

"Gomen, Hikaru."

"Don't be sorry. Heh. When I think about it it's actually kind of comforting to know that me liking her would have gotten you that upset."

"Why? Isn't is just childish?"

"No. It makes me happy because it means that maybe you could consider the 'us' we show the patrons in host club, more than just an act."

Kaoru choked back a sob and jerked slightly.

"Hikaru, you…? Do you actually… could you actually… or, are you teasing me?"

"I'd never try to hurt you, Kaoru. I'm guessing that means that we're feeling the same way about things then?"

"You don't think that it's wrong? Others would…"

"Baka. I don't care at all what others may think." He caressed Kaoru's cheek with his fingers lightly, sweeping away a stray tear that threatened to spill. "We've been together since before we were born and I don't intend for that to ever change. I can't see myself living with anyone but you. Please accept my feelings."

"Oh, Hikaru," Kaoru breathed.

Slowly they moved together so that their mouths fit together seamlessly and everything else that had worried them melted from their thoughts and all they could see was a pair of eyes that reflected them both back and forth in unison.

Hikaru placed his hands on Kaoru's shoulders and leaned him down, back onto the mattress.

"Hikaru?"

"Let's got to bed, Kaoru," he purred with a small smirk on his lips.

Kaoru smiled back at him brightly.

"Alright, Hikaru."
