My Higurashi

Disclaimer: Me… no own… dis stuff. Happy now?

"Inuyasha!" The hanyou turned his head to view the girl who called his name and felt his breath catch in his throat. That seems to be happening a lot around her lately.

She was beautiful to sure. With bright blue eyes that betrayed her every emotion, and slightly wavy black hair that fell beautifully down her back and bounced was she ran, she was a young woman that he thought could make even his half-brother warm up to her. Her voice was just as beautiful and she seemed like a goddess fallen from the heavens.

Though she appeared to be a goddess, be knew all too well that she was mortal, for he had nearly lost her many times.

He smiled slightly as she ran up to him. He may act tough with the whole group around them, but when it was just the two of them, he let his barriers fall. "Hey, what are you doing out here?"

Panting a little from her run, she took his hand and began pulling him away. "Come one, I want to show you something." He just smiled and shrugged in defeat knowing hat he would end up doing as she asked anyway.

He watched her as he allowed her to pull him to who knows where. Her hair had a bluish tint to it whenever the light hit it a certain way and had grown quite long over the time they spent together, though she didn't wear that skirt anymore, for which he was thankful. "Kagome, where are we going?"

The miko laughed. "I can't tell you; it would ruin the surprise." So he continued to be dragged along behind her, not really caring where they went as long as he was with her.

Inuyasha thanked the gods everyday for the day Kagome came through the well and released him from the Goshimboku; otherwise, he would have stayed sealed and would never have met her. She had become his entire his entire world; she was the one he protected, she was the one that treated him whenever he was injured, and she was the one that kept the whole group together.

"Alright, now close your eyes." He gave her a questioning look but did as she asked anyway, trusting her to guide him safely. "Now just hold my hand…" He let her drag him again to an unknown location, when they suddenly stopped.

"Okay! We're here! You can open your eyes." He opened his eyes to see Kagome facing the West with an orange and red glow highlighting her face, bringing out her eyes even more. "See? Isn't it beautiful, Inuyasha?"

He knew she was talking about the sunset, but he couldn't take his eyes off of her. "Yeah… it is."

And so are you, my Higurashi.

AN: I was riding in the car, watching this GORGEOUS sunset with my dad, (who was driving,) when I though, "What the heck? Why not?" I haven't written and InuKag in FOREVER, and I remembered that Higurashi meant sunset, (I think) so I decided to write one. Thanks for reading and please review!
