Letter to My Parents

Before Android 16 died and became an Android, he was known as Richard Gero and he was in the army. It had been three months since he had seen his parents and he had written a letter to them, updating him on how he is doing and why he had joined the army.

A/N: I have written this in the time before Android 16 was dead and became an Android. He will be known as Richard, Dr. Gero's son, in his letter to his parents. Let me know what you guys think. Should I write more in this letter, should I change anything, etc.? I'm open to constructive criticism.

Dear Mom and Dad,

It's been three months since the last time I've seen you guys and I wanted to tell you that I'm doing good here in the army base. I'm doing really well in life too. I've adjusted very well and very quickly here and there are a lot of nice people too. Every time we go outside to train, I love looking at the birds and feeling the wind. It also reminds me of the reason why I had signed up to go to the army; I must protect the life I love. The people, the animals, all of it. You guys have always known me as the gentle guy who doesn't even like to hurt a fly. But recently, there had been a lot of threats coming to our country, to our people, to our animals, and to our land. I must fulfill this duty to protect them all against these threats so that we can keep living in the peace that we were living in before. I promise you guys, Mom and Dad, that I will never let you both down. I will always keep in touch and wish me the best of luck!
