Jonny leaned back into the bed at the seven-story hospital. "Another unfamiliar ceiling. They really all are though, here in Tokyo 3, built just 2 years ago come to think of it. And to think. me a pilot." Jonny babbled, not seeing his father walk in. He was talking, Jonny couldn't hear him.
Jonny moved the gauze from his ears that prevented blood from seeping into his eardrums.
".So son how was school today?"
"Well, I fell down the stairs today." He glanced at his hospital bracelet deep in thought, distracted by it. 'Quest; Jonny Hospital F4 R3002B Suite, Status Stable, ICU.'
"That's not that far out of the ordinary for you. it doesn't explain the cast."
".Then I fell into the glass pane door, shattering it. and fell into traffic."
Hadji's eyes enlarged. "How BIG of traffic?"
"Tractor trailer." Race sighed innocently as he walked in. Race rolled Jonny towards the window for a view of Tokyo 3.
"All this on your first day of pilot-training?! Gendo will be most upset." Misato answered, "Our pilots safety is top priority." She lied. ever so slightly.
Suddenly two Evas, red and purple conjoint in battle fell into the side of the building, Jonny's bed slid into the wall. His dad twitched. "Fuh." Misato sighed. 'Damn kids are going to get Jonny dragged back to America!'
Suddenly the wall caved sending Jonny hurtling to the ground, 4 stories below.
They all flinched.
"Gomen Sai, Gomen Sai!" Shinji screamed through the radio to Misato, "Asuka made me! We were -planning tactics. yes. planning tactics." His eyes rolled across the video screen suspiciously.
"Oh no you don't Shinji blaming this whole mess on ME. YOU were the one who wanted to see if the Evas liked to thumb wrestle! I'M going back to BASE to visit KAJI!" The red Eva and redhead stormed out of sight trampling the blonde's body as she went.
Shinji and his Eva ran after her, "ASUKA! Wait up, you can't be mad at me, please don't be mad at me!"
Race dropped a penny down the side of the building waiting to hear the impact. "Jonny?! Can you hear me?"
"Ugh."
Rei and Jessie walked in, Gendo behind them carrying all the shopping bags all giddy with laughter.
"WHAT IN THE HELL HAPPENED Misato damage report, was it an angel?!"
"No, Major Ikagi, it was your son." His eye twitched, as did her eyebrow.
"I see. You handle this then."
".but sir! Jonny was injured. He's DOWN there, they TRAMPLED him with TWO Evas, after his accident at school."
Rei spoke up reaching into her bag, into another box of medical supplies she keeps ever-ready. "Maybe. duct tape and a glue gun will fix it?"
