A fanfic written by students in class
Written by: Colette / Isabelle / Christine
Proof read by: Nicolas
Nick and Judy have been on patrol together for quite a while now, and it started to seem as if they were more than friends. They just didn't know who would admit it first.
Also, fox/bunny babies wouldn't seem to fit into society and inter-species couples were not encouraged
Nick had been trying to hold back his feeling, for he didn't want Judy to be judged. Donut guy saw Nick walking sadly to Judy's office.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
Not knowing how Donut guy will act if he told the truth, Nick smiles.
"Nothing. Just, work is getting to me lately."
"Aw.." said Donut guy-leopard. He then decided to brighten his day by giving him one of his donuts with sprinkles, because he knew it was Nick's favorite. He also gave him one of the bright yellow flowers from his desk.
"This is for you," said leopard-guy with a smile.
"Thanks," answered Nick taking the flower and the donut
"..But I think this is going to someone else." said Nick with a wink.
He walked to Judy's office and knocked on the door "Hey fluffy tail, I brought you something special." careful not to be too loud.
Judy opened the door and smiled at him. She had looked at him longingly but quickly looked away. "Come in."
At the sight of her, all his doubts melted away. It was difficult being together in such a society, but when they were alone, they finally had the freedom to be themselves.
He handled the donut and put the bright flower behind her ear. He then hopped into her chair and began sipping on her coffee. She giggled and took a seat in the chair next to him.
"So, any crimes around here?" he asked.
She shook her head no.
"Well that's a lie. It should be a crime for you to be that adorable." He said with a smile.
The flattered Judy giggled and let it linger a while. "Hey, that's mine!" she said playfully, reaching for her coffee.
"Gotta be quick, cottontail!" He played along, holding it away from her.
She knew she was small, but reached for it and tripped on the arm of her chair, falling onto Nick, causing him to accidentally spill her coffee on himself.
"Dumb fox…"
She grabbed a cloth and began to wipe him clean.
"Thanks...," he chuckled, "I'll get you next time."
She finished cleaning him and smirked. "Ha, ha, we'll see about that."
She put the cloth back. Nick stood right behind her and tapped her shoulder. She turned around, and as soon as she did, Nick kissed her. She blushed furiously. After a moment of shock, she kissed back.
"Got you back, cottontail."
They looked at each other lovingly and Judy wrapped her arms around his neck. Nick held her tighter and leaned in for another kiss.
Before their lips could touch, the jaguar burst through the door."
"CODE RED! GET OUT TO THE-" he paused, looking at Nick and Judy in shock. His two coworkers were holding each other close about to kiss, Judy wearing the flower he got for Nick that morning.
"This is not what it looks like."
After a moment of pause, the jaguar smiles. "It's about time you two got together. We have all been waiting. Don't let me interrupt you two, get back to it."
And with a sweet look, he shuts the door.
