Characters that I do not own in this Drabble:
Skipper (Madagascar/Penguins of Madagascar; Dreamworks/Nickelodeon)
"Why did I agree to this again?"
Skipper stood over Harmony. Humanized, Skipper had short, black hair and very pale skin. He usually chose to wear a white, very tight shirt with black cargo pants. Many people thought that even as a human he looked a lot like a penguin. "I don't know. All I know is that I am supposed to be your trainer for something. Now, let's get to work."
Harmony shrugged. "Okay, but I've never done this before. I have no idea what I am doing."
"That's why I'm here." The two went over to a bench press. Skipper told Harmony to put a certain amount of weight on, and the workout began. "First, let me show you how it's done. You just lay down on this bench. Then you lift the bar as many times as you can. You get more of a workout if you go slower than if you go up and down really quickly." While he was talking, he was pushing the bar up and down. About the time he was done talking, he was fairly tired. "Now, I will probably try to make you do more than you feel like you can. I'm just pushing you to your true limits, not your mental limits. Also, don't feel bad if you can't do many your first time."
Harmony nodded and got set up to take her turn. She started, and Skipper watched making sure everything was done perfectly. A few minutes went by, and Harmony was still going. She was starting to feel a little tired, but it wasn't bad enough that she wanted to quit. Skipper started to see that it was going to take a while. He sat back and relaxed, slightly disturbed that a girl was doing so great. A while longer went by, and Harmony started feeling like she wanted to quit. Skipper noticed, and stood over her. After about ten more presses, Skipper finally let her stop. Harmony sat up and asked, "How was that?"
Skipper looked around the room, trying to avoid the truth. "Well, it was probably just some sort of beginner's adrenaline rush, but you beat my best number by, let's just say a lot."
Harmony's face brightened up. "Really? I didn't even realize how long I was doing it."
Skipper tried to brush it off and motioned for them to stop at the treadmill. He got on and started it up on the lowest speed. "For this, I want you to run little short sprints." He set the treadmill to go a little faster so he was at a jog. "I'll give you a time and a speed to run. After that short time is up, I'll give you a new set, increasing either the amount of time or the speed." To show what he was talking about, he sped it up a little more. "In between sets, jump out so that your feet are on these plastic things on the side." He demonstrated, obviously glad he did after he stopped. He slowed the treadmill back down for Harmony to get on. She started, and the first few sets went by quickly. Harmony quickly passed the speed that was the max Skipper got up to. Frustrated, he barked, "Push-up contest. Now!"
The two got on the floor facing each other. They kept up their stare-down as the push-ups started. After about ten, Harmony started to see some strain on Skipper's face. By fifteen, he was panting. At twenty, he collapsed. Harmony sat on the floor and mocked, "What? Have you been doing too much Cute and Cuddly work?" Skipper just rolled his eyes. "I thought your team trained every morning." Skipper muttered something under his breath that Harmony couldn't understand. "What was that? I couldn't hear you."
Skipper sighed and sat up. "They do train every morning. I just usually stand over them and don't do any actual work."
Harmony laughed as she stood up. Once she was up, she extended a hand to help Skipper up. "Maybe from now on you can do the workouts with them."
