Authors Note: Okay, so this is a small piece on Amanda Sefton, and how she hates Illyana Rasputin. It's my first fanfiction ever and my first drabble ever. And, well, I know it's a bit long for a drabble, but I felt it needed to be explored. So, let me know what you think, please and thank you.
When night fell over Limbo, and those rare moments when Amanda Sefton didn't have to be strong came, she found that she was becoming more bitter with each passing day.
She found herself becoming angry for nothing at the people she cared about, or those who were long gone – especially one teenage mutant sorceress.
Illyana Rasputin ruled her life, despite the fact the she had been dead for – what, years? – and despite that fact that the two had never met. Never spoken. Amanda had barely known the girl existed, and most likely wouldn't have, if she hadn't shared a spot on Excalibur with Peter Rasputin: the Colossus, older brother of Magik, a.k.a Illyana.
Why had fate chosen Amanda to become the second Magik, the ruler of Limbo? Amanda blamed her mother. If Margali hadn't shown her that damned vision of the Soulsword, this might never have happened. She would have gone with Kurt, and everything would have been different. He wouldn't have been an X-Man; he probably wouldn't have been forced to kill Stefan; and Amanda would know nothing of sorcery, or Magik, or Limbo. She would be happy. Kurt might even still love her, instead of treating her like the estranged sister she was.
He didn't trust her anymore – especially after she had hidden the Soulsword inside him. He had said that he didn't want that thing anywhere near him, even if it had once been a part of Illyana. And so, everything loops back to her, that little witch whose shadow I'm cursed to live in. Long ago I should have proven that I was a better sorceress, a better ruler of Limbo, a better Magik than she ever was. But no – I feel like I'm holding the fort until her return. Granted, she was an X-Man and a sorceress, but she isn't coming back. And I don't know why I'm the only one who can see that.
