'If I go there will be trouble,
And if I stay it will be double.'

The Clash - 'Should I stay or should I go'

'Oh, boy...Never a dull moment' Face sighed, when heard knocking on the door. He got up and walked over the window to catch sight of who disturbs him. Lieutenant wasn't in mood to squabble with some hawker. Through the pane he saw slender, long-haired blonde. This somewhat softened his attitude. Woman could have 35, maybe 37 years. He opened the door and smiled radiantly.

'Hi, Templton' said the guest

'Er... Do we know each other?' asked he and frown lightly. It seemed to him that maybe he'd seen her somewhere, but at the moment he couldn't remind where.

'Do you mind?' she resented, cocking head saucily. 'Last summer, Orlando, little white bunglo in the suburbs...Remember?'

'Ah... M... Mary?'

'Monica' she ground out, but just again said with sweet voice: 'I came along to introduce someon to you.'

She stepped aside and indicated to stroller standing on the porch.

'This is your son, Tommy.'

Faceman's jaw dropped and he was silent momentarily, then he said:

'No offence, but... Are you sure, that he's mine?

'How dare you! she yelled and slapped him. 'Come over stroller and look at him; maybe you disclaim he's alike you?'

Lieutenant smiled under his breath. How several-months infant could be similar to anyone? Maybe only to pruned, hairless retiree. Peck ran his fingers through his bright hair with great relish, but did what she told him to. He looked at baby and his pupils constricted for fright. Tommy had his face, just smaller.

'What the hell?!' he yelled

'Convinced?' Monica asked with arms folded on her chest. 'Now look. Giiiiiiiirrrrls!' she hailed, looking toward a nearby intersection. Around the corner emerged several dozen of women with kids of different ages. They were heading towards Face and his guest. As they approached man could recognise, that those children had his faces too, even girls, what was especially terrifying. Additionally, they started screaming:

'Daaaaady, daaaady, daaaady!'

'Nooooo!'

Lieutenant's own scream awoke him. He sat up in bed and wiped his forehead with a cold sweat. 'Probably I have to draw more attention to precaution' he thought and fell back on pillow.
