Green Guardian Angel
Tony Stark was plummeting towards the ground. Helpless, unconscious and unable to stop the forces of gravity. The Avengers watched in horror as Tony's body hurtled towards the ground, showing no signs of stopping.
Thor quickly spun Mjolnir around in a circle in the hopes of slowing Tony's descent, but at the rate Tony was dropping and his proximity to the ground, it did not look like such an attempt would be successful.
But before Thor could even slow the momentum of Tony's descent, the Hulk leaped into the air and gripped one of the building's windows Tony was falling towards and caught him with his free arm.
Tony's brother in arms, his fellow scientist and friend had just saved his life.
After the battle with the Chitauri and before the Avengers went their separate ways, Bruce decided to pay Tony Stark a visit at the Stark Industries tower.
Bruce walked into the building, greeted Pepper and told her he wished to see Tony. She showed him the way and Bruce walked into the bar. Tony was having a drink as usual.
"Hey big guy, how are you holding up?" Tony asked.
"I'm OK." Bruce replied neutrally.
"You know, the team told me I have you to thank for saving my life, thank you... I appreciate it."
Bruce smiled, with a slightly surprised expression on his face. Surprised because it was not usual for Tony to compliment people.
"You're welcome Tony, but you know when I'm the Other Guy I don't really remember much. I only have vague memories. Bruce replied.
"Oh yeah, I forgot but I wanted to thank you anyway." Tony said.
"You shouldn't drink so much alcohol, it's making you forget everything." Bruce teased.
"Whatever, good night." Tony gently slapped Bruce on the back, as a sign of friendship.
Bruce glared at him and walked away.
"Oops, sorry about that." Tony apologised.
As he left the Stark Industries tower, Bruce secretly smiled to himself.
