Korra and Tahno's relationship started out from a series of chance meetings and went on from there.
A series of drabbles.

1. The First Meeting

The next time she saw him after meeting him at the police department was in the park, both of them having been assigned to the same community service team - picking up trash.

"Hey, Tahno!" She shouted as a greeting, happy to see someone she recognized on the team she had been forced onto. Tahno straightened up at his name, and only betraying a small amount of surprise at seeing the Avatar there in similar trash pick-up gear as his own, he smirked.

"Hello, Ah-vatar. Fancy meeting you here." He said with that infuriating drawl of his. "I trust that whatever crime that brought you here isn't anything as flashy or atrocious as, say, cheating your way to the top in the pro-bending arena?"

Korra laughed, shaking her head. "No, unfortunately nothing as fancy as that. I'm actually here because of alt he trouble and damage I caused when I first came to Republic City. Smashed a couple of streets apart taking down the Triple Threat Triad."

Tahno chuckled. "Guess the all-powerful metalbender Chief wasn't so happy about that," He drawled, bending back down to pick up another piece of trash.

"Actually…" Korra hesitated, "Lin Beifong's not the Chief anymore. She resigned last week."

"What?" Tahno asked, genuine surprise on his face.

"Yeah, after the whole Cabbage Corps and Future Industries thing she…" Korra shook her head, a grim expression on her face. "We have no idea where she is now. And she actually let me go free when I first came here. It's Tarrlok who took over now, and well, here I am cleaning up the park with you."

"Tarrlok? That stuck-up and power-hungry councilman from the Northern Water Tribe?" Tahno asked, picking up another piece of trash from the grass.

"The one and the same." Korra replied, wrinkling her nose. "Ugh, this park's really dirty."

"Yeah," Tahno chuckled. "I know, I've been here every day for a week. Wait till you get into the water."

I honestly couldn't help it. Forget Makorra, Tahnorra's incredibly adorable.
