"Lies."
He sighed at her usual response to his intellectual plans.
"Child, why is it that we have this tedious routine? I know, my world is a lie, but so is yours."
She cocked her head, and twitched a thin eyebrow.
"Li-"
"Yes, I know, another lie. All the words I spur are lies. But have you ever considered the thought?"
She stood her ground and blinked for a second, her choice of the battle loosened in her clutch.
He held his monotone stare and paced in his dark office.
"The thought that we both want a world?"
She let out a hearty laugh, but frowned almost instantaneously.
"I want to save my world from people like you."
He let out an airy laugh, a laugh that she expected to be heard.
"People like me? Dear child, I'm trying to help you get what you want!"
She cocked an eyebrow and loosened her stance, her arms crossed against her chest.
"And what do I want?"
He turned around, facing her unamused expression.
"A world where you can be right. Where you don't have to live up to anyones expectations."
He leered his bland eyes towards her vibrant pupils. "Where you are the hero without a cause."
She spit, her thin brows furrowed with anger.
"Don't dare try to continue!"
He didn't seem phased by her saliva as he wiped it off his face, slowly.
"You mean, broken promises?"
She bit her bottom lip, remaining cautious.
"This is not a lie, child. This is a promise. A promise that can be a reality, only if you want it to be."
She felt his hot breath hit her face.
"No, you're just-"
"The villian? Child, that is it. You want someone to defeat, so you can be the hero. So you can win, for once."
She looked down, heeding his words.
"In a different world, just me and you, child. You are the hero, you are the champion. You are the leader. You are the queen. You are anything you ever wanted to be."
She felt his body inclose next to her, her vivid eyes looked up, with anger and passion.
"Anything? Without a cause?"
He cracked a smile, a smile that still achieved a nihilistic tone.
"Without emotions."
She felt hatred blaze in her eyes, something that lit the dark compartment.
"Consider it."
They focused on each other's eyes, eerie silence filled the room.
"No. I'm the hero."
She clutched on her choice harder, and took a stance with determination.
He sighed and whipped out his choice of battle easily.
"I guess our routine will never get old."
She threw the ball in the air, a cocky smile crossed her face.
"Not while we live in this world."
He copied her actions, one of his eyebrow twitched recklessly as he gave off a smirk.
"I can work with that, child."

A/N: Gah, I was in the mood for a Cyrus/Dawn fic. It kinda implies it, but I just tried to focus on their relationship and hopefully it shines through. I felt like this when playing the game 2 years ago. ._. R&R Please~
