Don't own Batman

Don't own Batman.

A/n: wrote this because I'm bored but not coherent enough to do something serious.

Whatever happened to Coleman Reese?

Coleman was just cleaning out his desk when Mr. Fox stepped into his office. The office was a tiny, windowless, gray room.

Coleman was a lawyer with the misfortune of being able to put two and two together. And after what Bruce had done, he was very, very embarrassed. He just wanted to forget the entire incident.

Besides, he was terrified to run into Mr. Wayne again. Logically, if Bruce had been prone to revenge he wouldn't still here. But there was still something disconcerting about the young man and his nighttime wanderings.

And once you saw that side of him, you couldn't forget it. It seemed more real the drunk that "accidentally" burned down his own home.

So when Mr. Fox poked his head into Coleman's former office, he almost jumped out of skin.

"Could I speak to you for a moment?" The CEO look amused as his reaction.

"Of course." Reese set down the last of his boxes and followed Fox down the hall.

"If this is about the inter-"

The other man turned and gave him a look that said 'not here"

Coleman sighed and followed him. Within a few minutes he realized they weren't going to Fox's office. They were going to Mr. Wayne's.

Bruce was starring out the window when they arrived.

At least he isn't asleep, Mr. Reese thought. Fox closed the door behind him.

Bruce Wayne turned around. There was no sign of the bored billionaire playboy now. Just a troubled young man. His dark eyes where rimmed with red and his thoughts were clearly elsewhere.

Coleman swallowed and waited for Bruce to speak.

"Mr. Reese."

"Yes, sir." A pause. "I never properly thanked for saving my life."

"You really don't have to." Wayne said. "Mr. Fox informs me you discovered certain irregularities regarding our inventory."

"Uhm…" For once in life, Reese didn't know what to say.

"I could use someone like you in our legal department permanently."

Was it really this easy?

"Of course, there will be raise involved and you'll need a bigger office" Bruce continued.

Coleman finally spoke up. "Buying my silence?"

"Not at all. Wayne Enterprises needs you to keep us honest, if nothing else."

"Of course." Reese frowned. "So there's no need to sign a confidentiality agreement?"

"Why would I want somebody working for me if I can't trust them?"

"Good point." Coleman said. "I'll defiantly take it under consideration."

Bruce nodded and he left the office.

"Think he'll take it?" Fox asked.

Bruce smiled. "I think he will." He paused and changed the subject. "So how's the new Batmobile coming?"

"Batmobile?" Fox blinked at him. "Surely you're not going to call it that."

A/n: just a short, funny fic written for my own amusement. I thought the Coleman Reese business in the movie felt unfinished. Hope you like this, and thanks for reading. Please let me know what you think.
