This is a little Harry Potter song-fic. It's based on Sonata Arctica's song 'Replica'. I thought the song fitted Harry pretty good.

Disclaimer: I don't own.

I'm home again, I won the war

Months had passed since the day he defeated Voldemort. He didn't talk much to his friends anymore. It was too painful, thinking about the whole war. So many people had lost their lives. Hermione had tried talking to him, she kept trying – telling him he should go on with his life, that it was all in the past now. He felt that they just didn't understand.

As you can see, when you look at me, I'm pieces of what I used to be.

He knew it was all over now, even if his friends thought he didn't understand. Some Deatheaters were locked up in Azkaban, some of them had fled but most of them were killed in the final battle. Just as most of the members of the Order of the Phoenix had died in the battle. There wasn't a wizard-family in the whole of England who hadn't lost at least one family member. The Dursley's were also killed. The Deatheaters had tortured them for information until the muggles died from exhaustion. And even as Harry hated the Dursley's, they had been his only family. And they had taken him in, even though they knew he was a danger for their precious little family.

No, Harry couldn't go on just yet, not after all he had seen. After all he had done.

They made me a heart of steel

Stubborn as he was, he didn't talk to anyone about his feelings. He tried to lock them all out. And it worked at daytime, but he couldn't stop his dreams at night.

I'm not myself, I'm a replica of me

He wasn't the same Harry anymore. It was as if he was just an empty shell, it was as if his soul was sucked up through a dementor's rotten mouth. His face showed no emotion. His laughing didn't contain any happiness. Harry was changed.

The light is green, my slate is clean

He saw the green light every night again. Night after night after night. That curse, that one deadly curse…

I'm home again, I won the war, and now I am behindthe door.

I tried so hard to obey the law, see the meaning of this all.

Remember me? Before the war.
I'm the man who lived...
