I was on my way back from the gym with my dog, Molly, in the passenger seat of my convertible. I was trying to hurry home because I could hear thunder. All of a sudden my car went out of control and into the side of the curb. I looked in my compartment to get my flashlight and of course I forgot my little sister Madison took for her girl scouts camp-out tonight. I got out of the car and slammed the door shut. I went over to my tire to see if I could see if it was ruined. I couldn't see anything so I started feeling with my hands. I soon found a huge hole in my tire. I went to the trunk of my car to get my spare tire out and of course it wasn't there. Finally I decided to just call for help. So, I dug my phone out of my pocket to find that it was dead.
"What else could go wrong!" I shouted angrily at the sky.
Just as if God heard me it started pouring down rain. I sat back in my car getting my jacket from the back to stay under until the storm passed. Molly started to whimper and I patted her on the back. I looked in the back seat to make sure nothing that I could use was back there and when I turned around Molly was jumping out of the car and running out into the darkness. I got out of the car and started to run after her but realized it was useless. I went back to the car and started to call her to see if she would come back. After 10 minutes I decided it was no use. I just laid under my jacket cold and wet. After awhile I could hear faint barks in the distant. I sat up to see if it was Molly. When I looked up I saw a pair of lights. I quickly scrambled out of the car to try and get them to stop. I was yelling at the top of my lungs when they stopped by me. A man in a hoodie was in the driver's seat and Molly was sitting right beside him.
"Do you need help?"
"Yes my tire went out and I left my spare at home and my sister's got my flashlight, and my phone's dead then my dog ran away." I said gesturing to Molly and ranting on about what happened.
"Mitchie? Is that you?" The man interrupted.
"How do you know my name?"
"It's my Mitchie." He said taking his hoodie off. There sitting in front of me on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere was none other than the Shane Gray.
"Oh my god, Shane! Why are you here?"
"I've been looking all over New Jersey for you!"
"I thought I told you where I lived."
"You did but I forgot to write it down so I forgot. Come on, I'll take you home."
"Thanks. How did you find Molly?"
"I was driving down the road and there she was sitting in the middle of it. She wouldn't move so I took her in my car and looked at her collar. Of course it said Mitchie Torres on it so I decided that when I returned her I would see you."
"Thank-you for picking her up. I was scared I'd never get too see her again."
"It wasn't long before I had to tell Shane which driveway was mine."
I asked if he needed a place to stay but he said he was staying at the hotel in town. We were standing at the door and I didn't know what to say, but he had a solution. He leaned down and kissed me on the cheek. Before he could stand back up to his normal height I stood on my tippy-toes and kissed him softly on his lips. Feeling his lips move across mine made me blush. He put his hand on my hip and deepened the kiss. I suddenly remembered where we were and who could be looking through the window at us. I quickly pulled apart. He had a questioning look on his face.
"Sorry. It's just my parents could be looking through the window. I'll see you later."
I went inside and closed the door and leaned against it till I heard his footsteps walking away. I watched him get in his car and drive away through the window. I had my first boyfriend. I think. It was kind of lame though for a 16 year old. But it didn't matter to me because I was in love.
