A/N: I don't know why everyone thinks Suguha's annoying, because I actually think she's pretty cool! Maybe it's just cause I feel really bad for her... :P

She flew.
The wind whipped around her, stinging her face, roaring in her ears. She clenched her teeth and surged upward with all the strength she had left, with a fresh burst of speed. She cut through the night sky like a knife, clouds swirling around her as she shot past them, fingertips outstretched to reach the stars. So intent on her quixotic dreams and distant desires, she didn't notice the blood pounding in her head, the sharp warning pains in her wings. Her mind only knew one mantra: fly faster, higher, until you forget everything.
Until you forget about your brother, the one boy you love, but the one guy you can't have. Forget about Asuna, who's too nice to deserve being the target of your heart-wrenching jealousy. Forget about never fitting in anywhere, about not being good enough at anything. Forget forget forget...
Forget about Kirigaya Suguha. You are not her. You are no one else but Leafa. You are a strong and beautiful girl whose skill with a sword is almost unrivaled in this universe. You can fly so high you can reach the moon and stars, and then you will finally feel good enough for a certain someone—
:: warning. altitude limit reached ::
Gravity clawed at her and she let out a strangled gasp, suspended in the air for that one terrifying second and then plummeting back into the clouds. Her fingers still clawed toward the night sky, as if maybe she could grasp the moon and pull it down with her so that she could finally feel like she did something right for once. She reached up to roughly wipe away a tear, and then hugged her arms to her sides, feeling as if she was falling apart and this was the only way to keep herself intact.
Falling was a strangely liberating sensation.
The one reason I kept playing this game was so that I could do things Kirigaya Suguha couldn't, like flying. But looks like I can't fulfil my dreams in this universe, either.
Maybe in another life.

And that's when you realize—the stars you've been chasing all this time are not even real.
