She stood outside of the ED entrance , a smirk was forming on her face. At the moment she had everything she wanted . She passed all the exams to become consultant and she was loving being in charge of the new F2. She took her fist step inside and carried on walking past reception, she saw Noel at the desk
"Good morning Noel"
Noel looked at her shocked at first but muttered the words
"Morning Dr Chao"
She loved the fact that people were afraid of her that she had power over them.
She made her way to staff room and inside was Ethan
"Good morning Ethan, I'm sorry to hear you and Honey broke up but I believe everything happens for a reason.
" Erm, thank you lily " Ethan replies
"Your welcome, let's get to work".
The day passed in a blur. She was very impressed with Alicia the new F2 but she would only give prise when Alicia truly deserves it. Mrs Beauchamp office door opens
"Dr Chao, would you step inside for a minute please"
"Of course Mrs Beauchamp" lily answers
Once inside Mrs Beauchamp was sitting in her chair behind her desk while Lily stood awkwardly. She really looked up to Mrs Beauchamp she is the only person who's she was scared off.
"Have I done something wrong Mrs Beauchamp?"
"No not at all, I just want a review on Alicia" Connie says
"Well, she's a very gifted doctor, but I feel there's still a long way to go, until she reaches the high level of where a doctor should be"
"I quite agree with you, I want her to carry on shadowing you, and I want you to guide her because I feel she could be a great doctor and she just needs that little push"
"Of course Mrs Beauchamp I would be honoured to do this, is that all?"
Lily asks
"Yes that is all, thank you Lily you may return to your duties"
Lily opens the door and closes it behind her. She makes her way to the staff room and opens her locker and takes out her iPad, while it was quiet she wanted to check her emails. She was halfway though her emails when she received a call from her mother. She clicks accept and her mother appears on the screen
"Hello mother, hope you are all okay"
"Lily I'm only ringing because I have some bad news , it's your father he's passed away" her mother says
She stares at the computer screen not quite believing what she was hearing.
