Zack gave his girlfriend, Aerith, a final hug before he was ready to leave. Tears fell from her eyes.
"Zack... I don't want you to go... Please!" Aerith pleaded.
"I have to go. I'll be back... I promise!... For you..."
Aerith stopped squeezing him. Without another word, Zack left. She cried hard. She sobbs after every breath she takes. She could hardly believe she won't be seeing him for a very long while.
Everynight she prays, "Please... Shower him with your holy light. Guide him... Let me feel his presence... Let him feel mine, too... Keep our bond strong... Don't let him forget me"
Her tears fell again. It wasn't only 1 or 2 days, but it has been years... 5 years already. They haven't seen each other. Aerith sent him letters but he hasn't sent back any.

One afternoon, she looked at the flowers very dearly, noticing something unusual. Her heart started to beat so fast. She knew it wasn't good nor bad. She looked at the sky... The thing she frightened the most... She cried, "If only Zack was here, I wouldn't be afraid..."
Suddenly, water dropped on her forehead. She was surprised. Aerith bowed her head and prayed... She knew it was raining... And she knew he was gone... She always prayed for his pressence, and now she has sensed that the man she loved has diminished...
