In the world anymore
I have to look in old photo albums
To find what I'm living for
Put on my coat, and it's heavier than it was before
I hear the click-shut behind me
And I'm afraid to look back at the door
Now that my feet can wander
Anywhere they want to go
I drift away to everywhere and nowhere
Forever alone
Just deeper in the hole
A look in the mirror shows that
I'm not all I used to be
There used to be a light inside
That tried to seep out of me
There used to be a light inside
That tried to seep out
I didn't let it
Clouds on the sky, and the night is ahead
But there's nothing in tomorrow
A great emptiness inside
Each breath a chore
In a long string of sorrow
The mirror holds a simple man
Cored like an apple
Going nowhere, being no one
Ending in nothing
This is not who I wanted to be
A man afraid to breathe
Wishing he could have suffering
Slowly fading into nothing
