My own idea of how things should be – and what is fanfiction for if not that?

Jane held her breath as the minister told Greyson 'repeat after me – I Greyson take you…"

This was it, the moment she'd been awaiting the last six months,

She slowly and gently, released the breath she'd been holding as Greyson recited his vows without stumbling or stuttering

It was the way she'd pictured it

Completely and utterly flawlessly perfect

The look in his eyes and his smile when he raised the veil

And kissed Kim as the minister pronounced them husband and wife

"You OK, honey?" Tony whispered to her

"I'm fine, "she answered with a smile at him and rested her head on his shoulder.

Not so long ago, she would have been filled with resentment that Kim was taking 'her' place with Greyson at the altar, of how it should have been her up there with him, repeating the vows and accepting his wedding band on her finger. Would have tried, somehow, to interrupt the ceremony and try to convince Greyson that she was Deb and that it was really her that he wanted.

But instead, her mind was filled with only Tony, the man who adored her not because she was his dead girlfriend returned, but simply because she was Jane.

"Sure?" Tony asked, breaking through her thoughts, wrapping one arm around her shoulders and pressing his free hand against the rounded swell of her stomach, just to feel their baby kick again his palm, strong and healthy

The look in his eyes and his smile when he held her and felt their baby respond to his touch, banished any lingering doubt from her mind.

"I'm sure."
