"I freaking can believe you Maya , we were best friends" I shouted

"I'm sorry Riles" Maya said

I just found out that my boyfriend Lucas was cheating on me with my best friend Maya. I just wanted to be alone.

"Go" I said

"But Riley come on we have been friends for years and you let this come bet-"

"Go , go and never come back I never want to see your face again" I shouted

Maya look very sad and angry when she left. I sat in the window seal with my head buried in my legs.

Ding ding.

I picked up my phone. Lucas . I answered it .

"Hey Riley"

"Friar"

"Whoa whats wrong"

"Yeah I found out that you and Maya were dating behind my back ."

"I-I"

"Save it Lucas."

I hung up the phone and sat it beside me. I cried myself to sleep that night . In the morning I did not feel like going to school. The sight of Maya and Lucas would make me so mad. But I got ready anyway. I took my shower , curled my hair and went into my room to put my clothes . My phone was lit up so I looked at it. It was Lucas again. I answered it again.

"I thought I told you to save it"

"You did but I have to explain myself"

"No , No you don't Goodbye Lucas"

I hung it up again and continued getting ready. I pulled out my floral overalls with my white knee high, my white combat boots and my pink bow. I headed down the stairs past my Mom , Dad and Augie. I walked out the door and took the bus to school . When I came in the first thing I saw was a new kid. His pale white face matched his dirty , red hair , he stare at a sketched book so his hazel eyes constantly moved . He sat right beside my desk so I decided to talk to him.

"Hi I'm Riley."

"Hey I'm Fletcher"

"Nice to meet you"

"You too"

Just then Lucas walked in , I tried not to look at him but my eyes just fell on him. He looked at me and came my way. He placed his hands on my desk and looked at me. I got up and walked to the door and thats when my Dad decides to walk in.

"Hello Class today we will be learning about steelers , cheaters and lairs." He said .

Maya was a liar and Lucas was a liar . Which made this entire class period hard for me. But somehow I got through it. At the end of class I got my book and headed towards the door , but I could only take a few steps until Fletcher reached me.

"Hey uh Riley is it , so I need a guide around New York. Will you help me ?" He asked

"Sure I will we can start today you can meet me at the bakery."

"Sure thing"

I walked out the class and to my locker. Thats where I found Maya and Lucas standing . I was about to turn around , but they grabbed me. I turned around and looked both of them in the face.

"What"

"I want to explain Riles it was a mistake I'm sorry" Maya said

"Okay Maya since we have been friends for all this time I have the heart to forgive you."

Maya hugged me really tightly.

"Okay Lucas whats your side"

Lucas was very quite. I don't know if he was thinking of a lie or what. But I left him there. Me and Maya walked hand in hand to the subway station .Maya had to go home to her mom , so I went home. About an hour later I heard knocking on my window. It was Lucas. I opened the window so he could come in.

"What are you doing here."

"Why else would I be here"

"To cheat on me hmm lets guess Augie next time"

Lucas put his hand on his face. I think he was mad or something but I didn't care.

"Farkle" he said

"What .. Farkle ?"

"Yes Farkle made me do it"
