Katniss took a deep breath as she put on her simple white dress.

She'd never seen herself ever doing this.

But she loved him, even with all of his flaws.

And he loved her too.

She would never deserve him, but he wanted her anyway.

So here she was, preparing to be married.

She wished her father and sister were here to see it.

She was sure Peeta wished his family was here too.

But it would all be okay, because they had each other.

And that's what this was really about.

They were already married, in a sense.

They cared for each other and loved each other.

Only they didn't have rings.

Peeta wanted her to be his wife, and Katniss couldn't refuse.

She couldn't deny him that.

She would be Mrs. Mellark in a few moments.

So she'll take a deep breath, and dive into the unknown.

That's what she's always done.

She takes a risk, and somehow, the odds are always in her favor.

They were sure to be this time too.

She took a deep breath, and opened the door to reveal a handsome looking Peeta.

This is it.

With a smile, she took her first steps to a brighter future, one where she could be happy.

Finally, I'm home.
