First story in a new realm.

Enjoy.

He loved to hate him.

The cool yet snarky demeanor that ran as a smirk on his thin lips, the arrogance over his dark eyes, and even the self-conscious beanie placed over his head, a few wavy bangs carefully positioned on his right temple.

Seeing that slim figure and jeans everywhere interrupting Gin's plans enraged him as much as the certainty Gin would be cockblocked by the bastard.

And that was always.

Akai knew him too well.

The last time they had set their eyes on each other, Akai was 700 meters away, behind a sniper. The hot shot had been confident enough to shoot gum out of his hands before aiming once again at him.

At the time, Gin was so focused on figuring out where Akai was shooting from that he didn't even consider the possibility that Aki was reloading.

The kiss was sharp and the scar wouldn't let Gin forget it. But it wasn't the physical sense of it that Gin gave a shit about.

Gin knew Akai well enough to read the message that Akai sent through the bullet.

I didn't get you this time, but catch me if you can…

And Gin accepted the challenge. Don't forget me, Koibito. I'm right behind you.

Gin could smell him; the telltale musk of the clone Akai used all too often.

Gin checked his pockets to ensure everything was in place.

Everything had to be perfect. After all, Gin had to return that kiss Akai had gifted him.

Except that this one wouldn't miss.

He was walking slowly, down a narrow alleyway. It was out of his way, not normal, and Gin wondered if that was because Akai knew Gin was planning this day. But whatever happened now, Gin had to carry through because he had already made it thus far.

Akai had moved another five meters by now, and it was time for Gin to inch up again. Gin spotted a stack of crates and quickly slid behind them.

He miscalculated and some gravel scraped under his heel.

Shit.

By now, Gin's heart was pumping louder than his mental cursing and it took him a full three seconds to gain the nerve to look past the edge of the crates to see if Akai had turned around.

Akai was only standing still, but Gin could sense Akai's suppressed fear so well that he could feel cold sweat crawling down his back.

Or perhaps that was his own fear of Akai rooting him out.

Again, Gin determined that whatever happened now had to be carried through, because Gin had made it thus far. He just had to get the timing right.

Gin pulled his trigger while stepping into the main alleyway, making sure to miss Akai so that Akai wouldn't die not seeing his murderer's eyes.

Akai took the shot as a cue to pull out his gun and shoot but Gin was faster, and Akai didn't know Gin that well to know that Gin wasn't going to defend himself but instead bring himself up closer against Akai.

"Got you, bitch."

And he caught him by the lips.

Experimental, but short and simple. Also sweet? You tell me.
