Okay, well, this is my second attempt at a drabble fic. I hope you like it! This one goes out to Seamus and Lavender! Peace, ~ The Orb.

To him, she was perfect. She was his flower, his light. She was the embodiment of righteousness and faith. She never gave in, no matter what the circumstances. Now, when they were surrounded by the Death Eaters, she still believed that they could win, though he would never know that it was because of him.

To her, he was life. He was funny, and alive, and just happy. Even in these troubled times, he was so full of life. Even now, in this moment when the entire world was crashing down around them, he fought with a smile on his face, but she could not learn that it was because he was thinking of how he was keeping her safe.

She remembered the time she first met him. Not just exchanged names and formalities, but really MET him. Near the end of their 7th year.

"That family. Only a death eater family could produce such a bitch and bastard!" She had said in an angry voice. She was looking at a 3rd year that they had made use one of those horrid quills that made you write in your own blood, and then to a 5th year that they had crucio'd.

"Lavender!" He shrieked. He had never heard her cuss before, but then again, they had never really spoken much. She looked at him with sad and angry eyes.

"What? It's true! Those horrid people, look what they've done!" She said in a bitter tone. Her voice shook with anger, and she trembled a bit. She turned away from him, so that he couldn't see her face.

"Lavender, I know that, but you can't give in to this! You cannot let this destroy you! Don't sink to their level!" He said sternly. She turned back to him, this time with tears in her eyes.

"It's hard, Seamus. It's hard not to give in. This life, it's taking its toll on me." She said in a small voice.

"Lavender! You can't do this! I know it's hard, but we'll make it through!" He said, taking her into his arms.

"How can you know that? People are being killed left and right, up and down! How can any of us know?" She asked sadly. He held her tighter, and comforted her in her sadness.

"You just have to have faith." He said, brining his face into view of hers. "It's just you and me against the world."

It's just you and me against the world. He didn't know how long those words stayed with her. She thought of those words every day. On the day of the final battle, his proposal, their wedding day. Every day. Just you and me.
