A new year of school. Lucas still having a relationship with Peyton and Nathan having a relationship with Haley. During the first basketball practice of the year, Coach Whitney was saying'' We have won 500 matches, therefore, we have to continue this spirit of victory!''
Everyone paid rapt attention. Lucas begin feeling a little uncomfortable as he has just recovered from his broken arm.
'' Hey, don't worry. Play your best,'' said Nathan to his brother while patting his back. Lucas felt encouraged and nodded his head energetically. As the practice began, Haley walked in the court and brought everyone's attention to her.
''Nate! Why did you do it! You stupid asshole! You had an affair with Peyton, did you!'' shouted Haley. Nathan ran to her followed by Lucas. '' Hales, how did you get to know this? I wasn't concious! I had some prob..'' Nathan didn't get to finish his sentence because he was interupted by Haley. '' You had some problem? What problem! Huh! I want a break-up!''
As she walked off, Nathan began to express himself. Speaking in tears, '' My dad wanted me to break-up with you. I was so saddened at that time. I tried calling your cellphone but you didn't pick up. Lucas was away. The only person I had at that time was Peyton. I drank some wine and I got drunk. I couldn't control myself, so I did it.''
Haley ran back and hugged Nathan tightly. ''I regret shouting at you. I'm so sorry Nate. Please forgive me,'' Nathan said softly as she was shy since everyone was looking at her. '' Of course I will!'' Nathan immediately kissed her. Haley then left. Lucas told his brother, '' Please don't ever do that again!''
The practice was continued and Lucas began to get the hang of it. After the first half of the game, he began scoring goals. At about the last few minutes of the practice, Haley and Peyton came in with a happy smile. The practice ended and Lucas and Nathan gave a hug and a kiss to their girlfriends.
During the night, the four of them met at the basketball court. Nathan trained Lucas as he was having problems with his game. The girls were chatting around about their boyfriends.
''Hey, wanna have something tonight? We'll bring the girls to the swimming pool in my apartment. Then, we'll plan something. We'll have food by the swimming pool and we'll have a great time together in the pool. Deal?'' said Lucas. Nathan agreed about the suggestion. After the training ended, both the gentlemen brought their girls to the pool.
As food came from the restaurant, Peyton and Haley was about to grab some food from the table when Lucas and Nathan carried them and threw them into the swimming pool. Suddenly, Haley was struggling in the water! Both Lucas and Nathan jumped into the water and carried her onto land. She coughed out water.
'' Hales, I thought you could swim! What happened?'' said Nathan with concern. '' I'm so sorry. I wanted to satisfy your parents, '' said Haley weakly. Lucas gave a suggestion that all of them go to the room and have food there.
He was disappointed because his planned was destroyed. The four of them went upstairs with a disappointed feeling. In the room, they had a great time together eating and romancing.
