Poor L

L wasn't one for showing emotions, so why now? Why now? Well, because. Because is as good a reason as any. This was only because there wasn't a reason. No good reason. And damn it ticked him off. "Light-Kun looks so happy," L commented.

Light shot the man a glare and went back to talking with Mogi who, oddly enough, was into the conversation. That in itself was creepy. "Son, you should show Ryuuzaki some respect," Soichiro called to his son. Light held back a scoff.

"Yes, so what? I'm happy. Woo," Light mocked, locking eyes with the detective. "Why should it matter? It was my free day, remem…" Light trailed off as L stood up and locked the handcuff on his wrist again.

"There. Playtime is over, Light-Kun," L murmured, leading the teen away from Mogi and over to their computers. But Light was captivated by what he saw on the camera. A boy was just walking past their building, playing a black DS.

"Matt," Light whispered and Mogi looked up.

"May he come in, Ryuuzaki-San?" Mogi asked, indicating the boy that was now tying his shoelace.

"You… Know him?"

Mogi and Light shared a look that undoubtedly said 'No. We just wanted to get a random stranger in here so he could kill you.' And you should note the sarcasm. L motioned for Mogi to go retrieve him and Light was practically bouncing with excitement as Mogi barely managed to catch the boy. Of course, only L could notice the bounce as it was only in Light's eyes. Light was dragging L to the door just as it opened and Matt smiled at the sight of the teen. Despite the people around, Matt jumped at Light, crashing their lips together while tangling his fingers in the older teen's hair. Mogi sighed as Light's dad jumped up and yelled his son's name. Matsuda dropped his cup of coffee and Aizawa merely continued working. He, L, and Mogi were the only ones to acknowledge Light's sexual preference.

"Light-Kun, Matt," L said softly. Matt blinked and he and Light parted before the red head looked at L.

"Oh. Hiya L." And like that Matt kissed Light again. "Light, you really need better friends."

L glared. That was a very cruel insult from one of his successors. Poor L.
