I woke up with Clare next to me. It was a Saturday. She had slept over at my house and was now here, in my bedroom, asleep.

Clare was peaceful, so content. Her curly auburn hair glowed in the sunlight. She gripped her over-sized t-shirt. Clare slowly curled up into a ball, and moved her hands under her pillow. The corner of her lips turned upwards ever so slightly, as if she was smiling. I wondered how anyone could be so gorgeous, even without trying.

Clare rolled next to me. I wrapped my arms around her, and pulled her close. I smelled her vanilla shampoo, and her lilac lotion. She turned around, and her lips brushed against mine. I flashed a crooked smile.

Clare's eyes fluttered open. Her baby blue eyes stared in my green eyes. "Good morning." She said.

"You have morning voice." I said. Her giggle filled the room. Her smile pierced my heart.

"You are so beautiful." I stated. A shade of crimson filled her cheeks.

"I'm not that beautiful…" Clare started. I stopped her rambling with a kiss. I parted my lips as I kissed her slowly. We pulled away.

"You are that beautiful."

...

I looked outside, watching the rain fall from the sky.

"Guess we have to take a rain check on that picnic." I said, annoyed. I promised Clare we would have a picnic at the park today. But alas, it started to rain. Hard.

"Yeah. But what are we supposed to do now?" Clare asked. I shrugged.

"Wait!" I exclaimed. "How about some of my famous hot chocolate?"

Clare giggled. "In-famous." She corrected. I held up my pointer finger.

"But still delectable, right?" I asked playfully.

"Indeed it is." We both chuckled. I headed into the kitchen and started making my in-famous hot chocolate.

...

I flipped through channels, trying to settle on a movie to watch with Clare. Once the movie You Again came up, Clare snatched the remote from me.

"Don't you dare change the channel." She said. I held up my hands in surrender. I widened my eyes. Clare burst out in laughter. The things I do to make her smile...

...

After the movie was over, it was still raining. Clare sprang up from the couch and grabbed my hand. She sprinted to the front door.

"What are you-" I started to ask.

"Come on!" She said. Clare opened the front door and stepped outside.

"Clare. Let's go back inside. It's raining." I stated. She shook her head and smile. She walked down the steps, and told me to come with her. She stood on the sidewalk in the rain, and held out her hand.

"Dance with me?" Clare asked. I took her hand and pulled her close. I felt her warm breath on her face as we started to dance.

"I love you." I said as we danced.

"Forever and always." We said together.

Together.
