Peter Pan: Four Generations

Elizabeth Rigby’s dream has been to get the chance to play peter pan in the Live action movies. When her school announces that they will be working with NBC for auditions to the live action Peter Pan 2019 she willingly takes the chance. Hoping to revive her aunt Cathy Rigby’s days as Peter Pan and make a name for herself. This is also my dream too! To be Peter Pan someday.

Tuesday 12:03 pm.

I walk towards the auditorium of the arts academy ready for the exciting news Clarissa has for us. "What do you think it is?" Alyssa, My best friend in the world, says to me. "I dunno. I really hope it has to do with NBC's live musical this year." I say to her. "Oooh what if it's Frozen or Wicked?" She says excitedly. "I wish so much that it would be Peter Pan." I say softly. "You would. You've been dreaming about playing Peter since you were 3 years old." She says back to me. As I'm about to say something we are ushered to our seats. As we sit down we see our other friends waving at us from the door. I wave back and face the stage. Soon Clarissa comes on stage and stands at the podium. "Hey guys I'm really glad you're here. I've got some awesome news. First things first I know what our spring musical is. Can I get a drumroll?" She says followed by a bunch of hands clapping in a drumroll. "It's The Westenders!" She announces happily. We all cheer and clap. Clarissa motions for us to quiet down. "My last announcement is about the NBC Live musical this year and it's... PETER PAN! So awesome right?" She says. My jaw drops. Alyssa stares at me. "That's not even the good part! Everyone in the theater program and music program has a chance to audition for the musical and for the orchestra pit. Auditions will be held next week on Monday giving you enough time to work on your songs. Good luck. School dismissed." Clarissa says and waves us all away. "Oh EM Goodness! You're dream might happen!" Alyssa says to me. "It won't. Not if I don't get an audition song." I say back to her. "Well lets go find one!" She says enthusiastically. I nod and we exit the auditorium.

Tuesday 2:00 pm.

I walk home from school feeling lighter than air. I cannot believe I can audition for Peter Pan! Me Elizabeth Rigby can finally follow in my aunt Cathy's footsteps and make my mark! I slowly come back to reality as I enter my apartment building. "Hey kiddo how are you?" My awesome doorman Luke asks me. "Great! I have awesome news Luke. My schools been invited to audition for NBC's upcoming live musical!" I say jumping up and down. "Awesome! You're sure to get the lead of course." He says to me smiling. "I hope so it's my dream to play Peter Pan. Oh yeah that's the musical." I say to him. "Oh I love that musical especially with your aunt Cathy in it." He says. "Yeah. Well I should go upstairs now." I say. We say our formalities and I head to the elevator. I press the 'penthouse 4' button and am brought to my home. "Elizabeth is that you?" I hear my mom say from the kitchen. "Yes mom. Hey mom I have exciting news!" I say walking into the kitchen. "What is it?" She says, turning towards me, smiling. "Our schools been invited to audition for Peter Pan live 2019." I say almost screaming. "Yesssss!!!! I'm calling your aunt Cathy right now!" My mom says while finding her phone. "Not yet please? Not until I audition." I say. She nods and puts her phone down. I exit the kitchen and go unpack my stuff from school upstairs. I sigh and hope I can find an audition song.
