We climbed to the top of the mountain, expecting a perfect view of the moons. We never expected to meet someone, especially someone like that, all the way up there. He was an old man, not someone you would expect to see in the Digital World, no matter how many strange things happen here. He had a digimon with him. I thought it was a clockmon, but I wasn't really sure at the time.
"Hello," he said to me and Kyaramon, "I have been waiting for you."
"You've been waiting for us?" I asked and the man nodded so I continued, "Why? I'm not anyone special. I mean I did grow up in the Digital World and I'm the general of Team Crystal Moon under the United Xros Heart Army, but I didn't do anything in any of the Xros Wars except give advice to Taiki-kun-tachi. I only stepped into the battle once or twice, in both the first and second Xros War."
"You, Nari, are special. You are the first digital ningen in ages. You're great-grand parents were two of the original Erabareshi Kodomotachi. You, yourself, are Erabareshi Kodomo no Shinka."
"Well," my faithful friend, Kyaramon, asked, "what do you want from General Nari?"
"You see," the old clock man said, "I have a feeling that a third Xros War will start soon, and I don't think the generals can do this alone. I am going to start recruiting new holders of the Xros Loaders. I still don't think that will be enough, though. I have found a way to travel through dimensions and I think we need to recruit more experienced Erabereshi Kodomo. However, these old bones can't travel very well nowadays."
I see.
"So you need me to do so for you." He nods. "Okay. I'll do it. I've been wanting to meet them anyway."
The old man had a shocked look on his face, but his shock quickly turned into happiness as he said, "All you have to say is 'World Change!'"
"Angato, jii-san!" I said as I run of to tell my friends I would be in the Digital World for a while and the school faculty that I would be "home schooled" again.
I actually wrote this as a journal prompt in school a while back. I thought that it was good and would be a good chance to introduce you all to the new Nari.
