So yeah, this is my first story, an AU where all the members of 1-A are students attending a normal high school, while moonlighting as crimefighting vigilantes. A few characters Quirks will be changed, and most people will be a little out of character, due to how much quirks affect the world of the anime, but other than that, it should hold pretty true to the characters.
Izuku Midoriya stood in awe in front of the gates of his new high school, gazing up at the high stone walls and the large metal sign. U.A High, the top school in all of Japan, and Izuku had been lucky enough to get in.
"Stop gawking nerd," Bakugo said from behind Izuku, giving him a light push to get him walking.
"S-sorry Kacchan!" Izuku squeaked, then began walking beside Bakugo.
"And stop apologising, it's getting annoying,"
"S-," Izuku began, then held his tongue, choosing to remain silent.
Izuku's gaze returned to the large metal sign, as he thought back to the last few years leading up to this moment. After getting the highest marks on the standardised testing, Izuku had been offered a place at U.A, alongside the other top sixty students from around Japan.
Suddenly, Izuku pitched forward, losing balance and nearly falling flat on his face, until a hand reached out to steady him
"Thanks, K-Kacchan," he said breathlessly
Bakugo scoffed, "I didn't even help you Deku, turn around."
Izuku did so, coming face to face with a girl, her round face framed with brown hair.
"Sorry about that," the girl said with a wide smile, "I just thought it would be bad luck to trip on your first day."
Midoriya attempted to thank the girl, but the words got stuck in his throat as he stared in panic at her smiling face.
She let go of his shoulder, and walked ahead of him, strolling through the front gate and out of sight.
"Can you just once, make it through a day, without fucking something up? Could you try that dumbass?" Bakugo bemoaned
"That's not important Kacchan!" Izuku declared, "I just talked to a GIRL!"
Bakugo stared at Izuku in disbelief, then gave him a cuff around the head, "You didn't even say anything!" he growled as he stalked off, Izuku hurrying to follow him.

The duo arrived at their designated classroom, 1-A, for the top twenty out of the top sixty, and Bakugo shoved the door open, a loud bang announcing their presence. Their entire class was already here, lounging at their desks as they waited for the day to start, but many of them turned to stare at the source of the noise. One of the students, a taller boy with thick glasses, stood up and marched towards Bakugo and Izuku.
"You there!" he shouted towards Bakugo, as Izuku hid behind him, "This is U.A, and it is a privilege for all of us to attend here. You need to treat the school with respect!"
"Fuck you!" Bakugo shouted back, "It's only a privilege for failures like you; I earned my right to be here!"
"I'll have you know," the boy answered "I studied just as hard as you probably did, if not harder. My years at Soumei Junior High-"
"Soumei huh!" Bakugo replied, "So you're just some elitist prick who's family bought their way in! You deserve to be here even less than the rest of these failures!"
Bakugo marched off, taking a seat at one of the free desks, as far away from the front as he could be. He leaned back in his chair, resting his feet on his desk. The taller boy glared at Bakugo, but then noticed Izuku hiding in the doorway, "Greetings!" The taller boy said, "My name is Tenya Iida." he stuck his hand out to shake, seemingly forgetting Bakugo's accusations
"Izuku Midoriya," Izuku responded, shaking Iida's hand, "Sorry about Bakugo, he hates it when people underestimate him."
Iida frowned "I don't think you should be apologising for him, there is no real excuse for his actions," he said, before returning to his desk.
Izuku took a seat at the last available desk, just as their teacher, a tall, thin and black haired man in black clothes with a white scarf walked in.
"Good morning class," the teacher said in a monotone voice, "I am Mr Aizawa, your Homeroom and Psychology teacher. Three rules, no talking unless given permission, always hand in your work on time, and when I get into the classroom, be ready and willing to learn." He wrote these rules on the whiteboard of the classroom as he spoke. He turned to face the class, taking a few seconds to observe the group. He sighed and sat down at his desk, then lay his head down on its surface "Introduce yourselves to each other, however you want. Just don't wake me up."
So, there's the first chapter of my first story. Criticism is appreciated, constructive or not. After all, praise doesn't help you improve, it just stops me from crying myself to sleep.
On a separate note, I won't be including Mineta in this story, because I really don't feel like writing about the adventures of everyone's least favourite pervert. So, his spot will be filled by another character. You will discover this character next chapter, if I make it that far without giving up
