Kiernan/Naruto woke as her alarm woke her at 8:00, after getting up from the bed she got up and headed towards the bathroom.
~ 20 minutes later ~
As she was exiting the bathroom she headed towards her closet and saw the circled date on her calendar, looking at the date more closely she saw the words Mom's anniversary in cursive and underline with orange pen, looking surprised at the date remembered why she did that.
'Today's the day mom disappeared.' Naruto thought to herself lost in thought. 'It's been 3 years since she went missing.' After thinking this Naruto quickly got dress as she was going to meet Jianyu/Sasuke before going to some stores then head towards their mothers favorite spot and began to go downstairs to eat breakfast, after waiting for Adrien for 5 minutes just decided to eat the eggs, bacon, with 2 pancakes on her plate. After breakfast she then went upstairs to her room and grabbed her bag, going towards the door Naruto saw Nathalie.
"Nathalie! Can you tell Adrien that I went ahead to the store." Naruto said.
"I'm afraid that Adrien already left, he said he was going to meet up with some friends." Nathalie replied in a monotone voice.
"Oh. Well I guess i'll just see him later, tell father I said bye!" Naruto said surprised Adrien left before her, but then figured that he was gonna meet her at mom's spot after talking with his friends like she was going to after meeting up with Jianyu. "Well i'm off!" Naruto said before heading out the door.
"As she was leaving she couldn't help but feel as if something was gonna go wrong today but quickly shook that thought off and started heading towards the place she was meeting Jianyu. (AN: they're supposed to meet at 11:00 at park the time is important she left around 10:30).
(This is a line break)(AN: I'm gonna call them by their old names when it's just them and the new names when their with their Family/Friends)
Naruto saw Sasuke up ahead looking at his phone, deciding to call out to him she yelled "Sasuke look up!" before pouncing on her target. Sasuke already knowing that she was there and what she was planning let her pounce on his back, letting out a grunt he looked on his back and said. "Must you do that everytime we see each other." Sasuke said in a annoyed tone.
"Yes because if I didn't you would step out the way and I would have screamed at you then you would scream at me and that would continue and not stop unless something distracts me from my train of thouh- Hey! is that an Ice Cream cart! Let's go get some!" Naruto said before grabbing Sasuke's hand and going to the cart. "Well at least she knows she hopeless." Sasuke deadpans before he looked up at the man selling Ice Cream.
"Hello my friends my name is André would you like some Ice Cream!" André said looking at the two in front of him. (AN: André isn't an OC he's actually from the show for those who don't know him.)
"Yes please!" Naruto said excited. "Um? what do you have."
"Ah my dear do not worry André know what the heart wants, for you my dear you would like blackberry for his hair and grayish-onix for his eyes and you my boy peach-pink like her lips, lemon-yellow for her hair and blueberry for her eyes." André said with a knowing smile as he passed the Icecream to the two in front of him. Naruto not understanding what he meant as he passed her her ice cream said thank you before gripping her plastic spoon and took a bite, as she was doing that Sasuke was trying not to blush as he understood what André said when he received his ice cream glaring slightly at André he too began to eat his ice cream after paying for them. He then led Naruto who was to busy eating her ice cream to notice.( AN: Yeah Naruto is oblivious of Sasuke's love for her, I mean come on he didn't know Hinata was in love with him until they were technically adults.)
After they finished their ice cream they then went walking around before Naruto remembered.
"Oh! Sasuke before I forget I was wondering if you could help me before you go home." Naruto said.
"With what" Sasuke replied curious as to what she might need his help for.
"Naruto sighed before saying "You see today's the day my mom disappeared we've been going to moms favorite place in Paris for the past 2 years and usually father would have everything set up but he's busy today so I wanna get everything together before father and Adrien comes."
"Are you sure their gonna be there Naruto" Sasuke said feeling as though they weren't gonna be there.
"Of course we promised to do this every year until we find mom, they know how I am with promises." Naruto said confident they would come.
Sasuke stared at her before sighing and agreeing to help.
"Great! First we need to grab some flowers and moms favorite dessert i'll text Adrien later to bring some food cause I don't want the food to get cold." Naruto said heading towards the mall with Sasuke trailing after her.
~ Line ~
As they headed inside the flower store Naruto started to browse they flowers before they saw Rose and Juleka two of Marinette's friends. "Hey Rose, Juleka!" Naruto called out to the light blond blue-eyed girl.
"Oh! Kiernan, Jianyu what a surprise to see you here what do you need" Rose asked in her soft voice. Juleka just stayed quiet after giving a soft 'Hey'.
"Well I was wondering if you two would mind helping me with arrange some flower as I don't know what they mean." Naruto told them in a hopeful voice.
"Sure we can help with that" Rose ever eager to help someone.
"Great! Well I was wondering what kind of flowers would mean 'Come home safe we miss you and I love you'." Naruto said after thinking what she wanted.
"Well for the 'Come home safe' why not a Gladiolus flower they mean strength,Next well Carnation are commonly used as 'I miss you' flowers also for 'I love you' I think that you should use Roses, Chrysanthemums or Tulips." Rose said hoping that helped. (AN: I researched all this so tell me if i'm wrong.)
"Okay so Gladiolus, Carnations and then Chrysanthemums and tulips." Naruto noted. "Thanks for the help Rose, Juleka! See you guys later!" before going to the counter and asking for said flowers in a bouquet. After paying for them grabbed Sasuke so they could head to the Sasuke and Marinette's parents bakery.
~ I am a line ~
After walking and waiting for the for the traffic to clear they made it to the bakery and entered seeing no one Sasuke called out. "Is anyone home." you can hear shuffling in the back room leading into the house, Sasuke's mother, Sabine Cheng enters the bakery.(AN: Remember I said with Family/Friends yah, I know it's confusing but helps me sorry.)
"Oh Jianyu it thought you and Kiernan would still be out." Sabine questioned.
"Actually Mrs. Cheng I actually came to make a order." Naruto told Sabine.
"Ah I see what can I do for you Kiernan." Sabine asked.
"Can I get a six Eclairs, six Macaroons, and 2 Raspberry Charlottes and a Red Velvet cake." Naruto asked as Sasuke looks at her then at her figure and wonders how she's not fat.
"Oh are you having a party today Naruto." Sabine questioned as she wrote down the order.
"No it's mom's anniversary and I wanted to get everything ready because my father is too busy so I wanted to get the deserts made then i'll text Adrien to get some food, so they don't get cold."
"Good thinking ahead, alright i'll get right on them but the Raspberry Charlottes are already made do you want them now." Sabine asked as she the cupcakes out.
"Yeah there for me and Sasuke anyway." Naruto said getting her credit card out and then taking one.
"I didn't asked for one." Sasuke said after taking one.
"Yeah but there your second favorites after tomatoes!" Naruto said happily as she bit into the cupcake.
"Hn." Sasuke said turning his face as a light blush appeared on his face.
"Come on let's go to your rooms while we wait." Naruto said already heading toward the attic Sasuke and Marinette share.
~ 2 hours and 35 minutes later ~
"Kiernan, Jianyu the deserts are done!" Sabine yelled from the kitchen.
"Alright! Thanks for making them Mrs. Cheng!" Naruto said as she grabbed her bag and looked down at the boxes of deserts she ordered.
"No problem dear, it was a pleasure I do hope that you enjoy the deserts say hello to Adrien for me!" Sabine said as she smiled to Kiernan/Naruto.
"I will and thanks again!" Naru said.
~ Timeskip ~
"Alright we're here!" Naruto said as if they didn't just walk up a high hill somewhere near the edge of the city.
"So why is this your mothers favorite place" Sasuke said facing Naruto not getting it.
"You don't get it because you're facing the wrong direction turn around!" Naruto said excitedly turning her friend around to look at the view.
As Sasuke turned around he couldn't help but admire the sight in front of him buildings surrounding the Eiffel tower some of the lights are turning of on the outside of the buildings as the sun is slowly going down turning day into night. As he faced back at Naruto he saw her set up what looks to be a little shrine with a picture of a blonde woman with green eyes smiling at the camera. He then helped her place flowers around the photo. Naruto quickly got her phone out and proceed to call Adrien.
~ Elsewhere ~
A certain blonde haired green-eyed boy did not notice his phone ringing as he put it on silent as he and his friends just began watching a movie marathon and wouldn't be looking at his phone until later that day, much later.
~ Back with Naruto and Sasuke ~
"Huh, he didn't answer his phone, he must not be near it. Well I'll just text him then, he usually pays attention more to texts than calls anyway." Naruto said before texting her brother to grab some food before heading over to the place and that their father might be running late, Not knowing that her father wasn't coming either as he to had forgotten about today and the promise they made to her.
"Thanks for the help today Sasuke it really was great of you to come and help me with this I appreciate it." Naruto said in a sincere voice.
"Hn." Sasuke said as he got up and head home. "No Problem."
"See you tomorrow!" Naruto yelled as he got further. Without looking back he waved his hand in good-bye and continued to get farther. Naruto sighed as she proceeded to lay on the ground and stare at the clouds as she waited for her brother and father to come.
But as the hours passed neither one of them showed as she looked at the phone looking at the time making up excuses as the hours continued to pass on she even lit a scented candle as not to be in the dark. But as the clock struck at 11:00 she grabbed her mother's photo put in in her bag and grabbed the desert, then called a taxi. When the taxi arrived 10 minutes later she entered the car with her eyes covered by her bangs. Another 10 minutes to get home after paying the taxi guy she then opened the side gate and went into the house. It was dark and silent, as she entered her room she took of her shoes and got under the cover not bothering to change from the clothes she had on.
~ five minutes before 11 ~
Adrien, Marinette and their friends were having fun when Adrien saw the time on a nearby clock.
"Oh man it's getting late I should probably start heading home." Adrien said still staring at the clock before facing his friends. Marinette and the gang looked a little disappointed but understood, considering Adrien has an overly strict father and overprotective sister.
"Yeah I think we should all start heading home, see you tomorrow." Nino said. "Bye" "See ya" "Later" were the general goodbyes everyone said before splitting to the directions of there own homes.
"Bye everyone." Adrien says before mumbling. "But why do I get the feeling I've forgotten something?" He said before he takes out his phone to call for a ride. Finally looking at his phone Adrien sees the missed phone calls and texts from his sister.
•Hey Adrien it's me Kiernan I was calling to make sure you to got some food before heading over to mom's special place.•
•Adrien just calling to make sure you didnt forget to get the food.•
~Your probably busy so I decided to text instead.~
~Can you try calling Dad or Nathalie neither of the are answering the phone.~
~Hey it's getting late when are you gonna come.~
~Ya know you could answer your phone so that I'm not sitting out here without anything to do.~
~Adrien answer the phone.~
~Adrien.~
~Forget it i'm going home.~
"Moms special place why would she be... Wait what's today's date!?" Adrien frantically looked at the date. "Oh nononono!" Adrien began to panic as he saw that today was the anniversary of his mother's disappearance. Instead of calling for a ride as he originally planed, he ran as fast as his legs could go straight home. After reaching the door he stopped to catch his breath and grabbed his keys from his pocket.
Opening the door he hurried up the stairs knowing his father nor Nathalie would be home to scold him for coming home late and running up the stairs. He made his way to his sister's room only to pause at the doorway, hesitantly he knocked at the door hearing no reply he open the door before making his way in. As he made his way to his sister's bed he noticed she didn't take off her shoes. Standing right next to her he could make out faint tear tracks on her face.
"Oh Kiernan i'm so sorry." Adrien said in regret before he took of her shoes and headed straight to his room. Closing the door as gently as he could so he did not wake her up, he promised to make it up to his sister.
