Logan sat quietly, sipping his drink as he watched Max pacing around, complaining about Alec's weekly screw up.
"I mean, who the hell does that!? He could have gotten himself hurt or killed!"
"Max?" Logan called gently as she continued. "Max!" he called louder. Max stopped mid-sentence and looked at him. "Smile for me."
Max instantly smiled and chuckled. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go on like that."
"You don't smile enough anymore."
"Not much reason to lately, is there?"
"That's why you have to keep smiling. Besides, you have a nice smile."
"I'll remember that," Max promised, smiling.
