Another Thomas rewrite, this time its "Bulgy" from Season 3, with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.

It was a special holiday on the Island of Sodor. Bertie the Bus was working harder than ever before, as well as all the engines.

Duck was waiting for his next passenger train. Next to him was a red, double-decker bus. He was looking very cross, and growled at all the happy passengers.

"Stupid people!" he grumbled. "I don't like taking all these people. What if I broke down?"

"I'm glad you didn't!" smiled Duck. "You would have spoiled the fun for all."

But the bus was even more cross.

"One of these days, railways will be replaced entirely by buses!"

Duck felt shocked at such an idea.

"We have another bus you know. His name is Bertie, and he likes the railway. Sometimes he teases us about it, but he wouldn't want to see it replaced."

"Bertie's too small in size for any use!" growled the bus as it drove away.

At the junction, Duck told Oliver all about him.

"His name is Bulgy and he doesn't like anything!" said Oliver as he puffed happily away.

But that afternoon, Oliver wasn't happy when he saw Duck again.

"Bulgy's friend has come! He's rude just like him. For instance, he took Bulgy's passengers home, and now Bulgy is stealing our passengers!"

"But he can't!" objected Duck.

"Bulgy said he would get them to the big station before us!"

"Rubbish!" replied Duck. "It's much longer by road!"

"Yeah!" continued Oliver. "But Bulgy knows a shortcut!"

That night, the engines were preparing for the evening rush.

"Where are the passengers?" wondered Duck.

Just then, they saw the passengers boarding Bulgy!

"How rude!" exclaimed Oliver.

Bulgy was wearing a large sign that said RAILWAY BUS.

"How does it feel?!" called Bulgy as he drove away.

"Come on!" said Duck to his coaches. "Let's follow him and see what he's up to!"

Duck wanted to get back at Bulgy, but he wasn't sure how.

Then in the distance, Duck saw a man waving a red flag. That meant there was danger.

The line Duck took crossed a narrow road, and Duck saw Bulgy trapped under the bridge!

"So this is your shortcut?!" chuckled Duck.

The passengers were very cross.

"He tricked us!" yelled the passengers. "He said he was a railway bus, but he wouldn't accept our return tickets! He thinks buses are better than railways!"

Duck's crew examined the bridge.

"It's risky, but we must help the passengers" said Duck's driver.

"Passengers are urgent!" agreed Duck.

Duck slowly and carefully began to cross the bridge. The bridge began to crumble as Duck crossed it.

"Stop!" cried Bulgy. "It might fall on me!"

"That would serve you right for telling lies!" said Duck.

Thankfully, the bridge didn't fall.

Duck made good time, and the passengers made it home safely.

As for Bulgy, he was turned into a hen house because of his bad behavior. I wonder if he'll ever learn his lesson, don't you?
