A.N: Please review, just knowing that someone is reading the story helps. This just came to me and the urge to post it is over powering. I will try to edited it, if need be, soon but it is currently 130am, so off to bed I go :D

The price that's paid for true love is sometimes too much. No one knew this better than Helen Magnus. She had lived three life times, loved once and continued to pay the price. What her and John had shared meant to the world to her. If he asked her to leave her pursuit for medical license acceptance to raise a family, she would have. They both knew it and they both knew that he never would. Instead John and Helen embraced their passion. They fought all the moral and ethical codes of the times and remained together in every way. In the end she had paid the price. The day Helen discovered she was carrying their child was the day she discovered who Jack the Ripper was. The pain from that day and the price of true love continued throughout a century and a half. Helen knew she could never let the pain go because in the end it had become her. She knew what love could do, would do. Helen had loved so much that the price was too much.

Pleasure of love lasts but a moment,

Pain of love lasts a lifetime.
