Summary: E/O Challenge: prompt "ankle". Sam is thinking about getting a tattoo of her name. Dean reacts. I know this is an old challenge; I hope that's all right. I struggled with the ankle prompt and only just came up with this now.
Timeframe: towards the end of season 1, when Sam has been mentioning Jess slightly less.
Jessica
Dean's stomach clenches when he sees the word that Sam is scrawling endlessly across the paper.
Jessica.
"Sammy," he says quietly. "Thought you'd been doing a little better."
"I have. But I was thinking of getting her name tattooed somewhere. Maybe my ankle."
"Your ankle?" Dean snorts, secretly relieved this isn't as much of a backslide as it could have been. "That's friggin' girly."
"Maybe my wrist?"
"Girly."
"Where's not girly, Dean?" Sam snaps.
"Anywhere's gonna be girly with that girly, loopy cursive, man."
But Sam's glare fades as Dean holds his hands out. "I'll write it better for ya."
