She closed her eyes upon the emptiness before her.
She opened her eyes, and there he was. Long neck and sloping shoulders. His eyes were glassed with concern.
"Harper?"
Even his voice set something loose inside of her. Her heart stuttered. "I thought you wouldn't come."
His voice was accented, but she couldn't distinguish just one country. She didn't need to. She just rocked back on her heels and let the worry-creased words curl inside of her. "Of course I came."
"It's freezing." Grounder didn't feel cold. Harper marveled at the way he structured his sentences to worm through her defenses. "Why are you all the way out here?"
Harper inhaled until she couldn't breathe any more, palms faced outward, face to the night sky. "They won't notice."
"Is that what you want?" he asked. He stepped closer to her, until he felt the ghost of his skin caress hers. He still didn't touch her though. He always let her make the first move.
"I don't know what I want," she said, and it was the truest thing she'd said all night.
He tilted her chin up and tapped her cheek when her eyes slid from his. When the burning brown captured her blue, she suddenly couldn't breathe. "Do you want this?"
He kissed her.
Harper pulled away after a moment. "You're the only thing I know I want."
"Well you've got me. I'm not going anywhere."
And that, Harper thought, was all she needed.
AN: OMG WHO'S WITH ME IS 3PER THE CUTEST SHIP OR WHAT?! Anyway, this is my first contribution to the 100 fandom and hopefully not my last. Any requests? I'll write anything, but obviously, 3per is my number 1.
