Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters, books etc. and I only own my imagination and mad ideas.
This story is about Frank Longbottom because I don't think he is written about enough. It's about the moment he lost his mind. Some very weird parts, but I am quite proud of he end result. Anyway, enjoy!!
Mind Blowing
Frank felt alone. Extremely alone. There was no one to hear his troubles, or to comfort him.
He shivered. He clenched and unclenched his fists as he waited in the darkness.
He had no idea what he was waiting for, or whom, but he knew he should wait.
Hours past. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he struggled to stop himself from getting up, as he struggled to keep waiting.
He would be in trouble if he didn't wait.
But why?
His mind felt broken; why couldn't he remember?
Suddenly, a light burst through the black. He gasped in surprise, and scrambled backwards. Was this what he had been waiting for? Was he finally free to go?
It was a dim light, and seemed very distant. But to Frank's eyes, it was piercing – it broke the darkness.
He crashed into something hard and moaned in agony. The light started rushing forwards, ready to swallow him.
"No," he whimpered, closing his eyes and turning his head away. "Please no…"
His scream echoed through the darkness, shattering the air, coating him and swallowing him. He couldn't breath. He couldn't breath and he was going to die…
"Frank?"
He was dying with nothing, no one to help…
"Frank."
Alone in the darkness, dying, dying from nothing. He was gone…
"Frank!"
Flashes. Flashes filled him; green, blue; every colour. Sound faded away…
The voice…
Too late, he reached, grasped for it. The flashes weakened.
The voice came booming back:
"FRANK!"
His eyes suffered as the flashes raced around him. He tried to close his eyes, but the flashes were too amazing, too beautiful. He wriggled and squirmed as the voice faded into a whine.
His whole head was burning. It felt empty: was there even anything in it?
He screamed one final word:
"NO!"
Then his mind shattered into thousands of broken up, delicate shards, glinting and flashing with memories and emotions.
He watched them slither away, leave him and his world. He slumped into unconsciousness, with no hope of his mind returning.
He was alone, with an empty head.
