A smile crossed the warlock's lips as she looked down at her child, her's and Jem's little bundle of joy, hand finding Jem's free one while the other held their other bundle of happiness. Her eyes were bright and tears pricked them. Her babies, it had been years since she'd held her own babies in her arms, and watched as they gurgled with happiness. " Jem." she said softly as he ran a finger up and down the back of the hand he held.
"Yes Tessa?" came the reply as he caught her eyes and smiled softly.
"I love you." she said in return smiling ever so slightly.
"I love you too." was the shadowhunter's reply as he placed a kiss to her forehead.
Tessa's eyes moved from her husband's to the small boy she held in her arms, "Sydney. Sydney William Carstairs." she said softly, Eyes moving to their daughter in Jem's arms, "Ella Jessamine Carstairs."
"Xīní Wēilián Ming, and Ke Wen Ming." he said softly eyes bright.
Tessa pressed a kiss to her son's forehead before moving to place a tender kiss to Jem's lips, "A second chance for a new life." she whispered, joy filled her heart.
"I promise I will look after you and Sydney and Ella forever." he promised holding tight to her hand.
"I promise to look after you and James and Lucie forever, Tess." He promised her as he held her to his chest as they curled together on the lounge.
Tears pricked her eyes at the memory, before she tugged Jem down to sit beside her, "And I will look after you and our children forever." she replied gently.
Jem wrapped his arm around her and held her to his chest, "I'm glad I can be with you again."
