Ah, It's a Wonderful Cat's Life.

Miwa's POV

I was jumping from roof to roof when I happened to look in a window and see a very pretty she-cat with pure white fur. I jumped onto the window and snickered.

"Hello, Mr. Carefree-Alley-Cat," she sighed as she turned around.

"How'd you know it was me?" I asked.

"You're eyes shine really brightly at night, sir." She pranced up to a seat near the window and sat down.

"My name's not sir! It's Miwa!" I laughed.

"Tama."

"A pretty name for a pretty cat!" I purred. "How about you go out on a date with me. The moon is full and the night is young!"

"No thank you."

"Ehhhh, but a cat only lives once, so you have to have as much fun as you can! If it's you collar you're worried about, I could tear it off you know." She was about to reply, but I continued, "Being a stray is really great! I mean, I get to steal fish and chase pigeons! And while the humans all work, I curl up on the roofs and take naps! It'd be really nice if you could join me! I have some friends that I'd like you to meet!" I smiled, referring to Kai and Aichi.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not a stupid girl," Tama mewed bluntly, "A cat lives once is what I hear you say. That's why I'm a pet and why I can't play. This collar that you wanted to tear off," she pointed to the piece of leather around her neck with a bell attached to it, "Do you know how much this costs? I'm a very elegant girl you see. I always have the most delicious meals and the fluffiest bed. I kind of dislike water, but I always have a bath everyday and my human dries me off after. Compared to my life, who looks after you? Tomorrow you could get hit by a car, and no one would care." She sighed after her little rant.

"That's kind of harsh… But you're strong look on how you see me is kinda cute! I'm starting to like you!"

"Oh, really? Being honest here, are we? But with that kind of approach you'll never sway my heart." I felt a little discouraged at this and hit my head against the window pane.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, fine…"

"So if you're gonna try to court me, I should at least know a little more about you than just your name."

"Well, my dream is to one day leave this city and head up north. I'll look to the sky and see the Northern Lights! It would be great if you could come along… but I guess that won't be happening…"

"My way of life can't be changed that easily, Miwa," she explained, "And my human would be devastated if I ever left her…" I got up to leave. "Hey! I'm not done yet! Are you leaving so soon?"

"Yeah, I gotta meet up with my friends. I'll see you around."

"WAIT! I- I wouldn't mind if you came back tomorrow… I'll be waiting…"

I smiled a little before jumping off the room and walking away. What a cute cat!
