Just Breathe
A happy James and Lily Potter sat in their "home sweet home" cottage, as Sirius called it.
Lily, sat in an old and rickety rocking chair, rocking their baby boy, Harry, too sleep.
"James, come look, but quiet though," said Lily, smiling blissfully down at their beautiful baby boy, his cold black hair all ready becoming messy like his fathers.
"Wow, he is so handsome, looks just like his dad," said James, a playing smile on his face.
"I don't ever want lose him, James, ever!" Said Lily, hot tears filling her eyes.
"And you won't, you won't," said James, bending down and kissing his beloved wife and child.
As he made his way back over to his chair, he heard a cruel laughter.
"Lily, take Harry and run, I will try and hold him off. Go!" Said a disgruntled James Potter, retrieving his wand and muttering every protection incantation he could think of.
"No, James, I can't…" Lily tried to argue, but was cut off by James.
"Lily! Go! Now!" Screamed James, Voldemort bursting down the front door.
As Lily made her departure she mentally crushed herself.
What are you doing? She thought. I should be helping him, not fleeing!
Only was it when she looked down at her baby boy when she knew the true reason…
"Oh, my baby, it will be okay…" said Lily, going into an old and battered closet that was all to soon to be blown to bits by him.
"Stand aside girl!" Came the cruel voice of Voldemort.
"Never,' she said, trying not to let her fear show.
"Stand aside and you go free!" Said Voldemort, losing his tolerance.
"I said never!" Yelled Lily, becoming possessed with rage.
"Have your choice, Avada Kedavra!" said the sinister man, a cruel smile playing on his face, as if enjoying the "little game".
A high-pitched scream echoed off the opaque walls, followed by the soothing voice of Lily.
"Just breathe, Harry, just breathe."
The last thing Lily ever saw was her gorgeous baby boy's eyes opening, and him cooing lovingly.
