Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, or the song No Bravery by James Blunt...I really wouldn't mind owning James, though ; )
You should really listen to this song, it rocks.
There are children
standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
Tears drying on
their face.
He slowly walked through the broken town, tears forming from seeing all this sadness.
He has been here.
'It's my duty to fix this,' the brunette thought. 'All this tragedy, I can make it go away.' Just thinking that both boosted his courage, and caused the tears to fall. 'Madness.'
Brothers lie in
shallow graves.
Fathers lost without a trace.
A nation blind to
their disgrace,
Since he's been here.
The war had killed many people, young and old, wizard and muggle, good and bad. Dean Thomas and Sean Finnegan had fallen together, wrapped in each other's arms. Arthur and Charlie Weasley had gone on a mission with Moody. Moody had come back; Arthur and Charlie hadn't. Despite that loss, all of the Weasley's continued through the fight. The men and Ginny were aurors, while the Mrs. Weasley's, Molly and Hermione, were very busy healers and St. Mungo's.
And I see no
bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.
As Harry progressed through the army, he noticed more and more people losing hope. Every time someone fell dead, someone else would be drained of hope.
Houses burnt beyond
repair.
The smell of death is in the air.
A woman weeping in
despair says,
He has been here.
Not a single house remained intact. They were completely destroyed, some with an entire family inside. Harry passed many women who had lost their husbands. Most remained by their lover's side, though a brave few continued fighting, more passion ensued.
Tracer lighting up
the sky.
It's another families' turn to die.
A child afraid to
even cry out says,
He has been here.
The brave warrior passed a Dark Mark in the sky; it was over a muggle home this time. There was one small boy, lost and confused without his parents, and not understanding how and why this was all happening. Yet he knew, he knew it was all because of one man.
And I see no
bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.
There are children
standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
But no one asks
the question why,
He has been here.
Every muggle child seemed to know, but not fully realize, the true horror, all caused by a man turned evil.
Old men kneel to
accept their fate.
Wives and daughters cut and raped.
A
generation drenched in hate.
Says, he has been here.
Men were giving up, giving in to the Death Eaters. Followers of the Dark Lord were destroying everyone, worse than killing them. They would kill everyone in the family but one person, and then slowly torture that one individual.
So, with passion growing stronger with every step, Harry James Potter walked up to Lord Voldemort, and in two words, killed the last bit of his soul.
And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.
And with that, he too collapsed to the ground, drained of life and energy.
O gosh, I'm gonna start crying! I have no clue why I had that happen, so don't ask me.
