-ribbon-

a/m: Umm...well, this is a crazy little thing I just randomly came up with...

disclaimer: "Naruto" isn't mine, loves.

If you asked any given member of the Akatsuki if they were at all fond of Uchiha Itachi, they would probably say something along the lines of, "Sure", for fear that their responses might get back to the vengeful Uchiha.

And no one wanted to face the wrath of an Uchiha, whether it be Itachi or his troublesome little brother.

But Deidara was not afraid of Itachi. He wished Itachi would just crawl up in a dark, cramped hole and DIE.

Or even better, Deidara would get the pleasure of blowing Itachi up himself. What a beautiful explosion that would be...

The ribbon of lies he had wrapped so tightly around his finger would come apart eventually. Deidara knew he harbored some sort of nonsensical feelings for Itachi...but he liked lying to himself much, much better. It was just easier.

"Get out of my way, un," Deidara mumbled one day, shoving random Akatsuki members out of his path. It had been a relatively bad day. Tobi had forced Deidara to (shudder) bake cookies.

Deidara hated cookies.

"Deidara-san, you don't have to be rude." Itachi growled.

"Itachi-baka, you don't have to be in my way."

"Don't be chilidish."

"Don't be a dobe."

"I'm not arguing with you." The Uchiha rolled his eyes irritably.

"MOVE."

"NO."

"If you don't move, I swear I'll kill your stupid little brother before you do. I will hunt that brat down, blow him up, and you will never get the pleasure of killing him." Deidara hissed, a smug smile on his face.

"You wouldn't dare."

"You know I would, Itachi, un."

"If you weren't so hot I swear I'd-"

"What did you just say, un?" Deidara's eyes widened, and he blinked blankly.

"I said that if you weren't so hot, I swear I'd-. And then you stopped me, being the inconsiderate dobe that you are."

"Who do you think you are, Uchiha, calling me hot when I hate you?"

"Who do you think you are, Deidara, telling me to move?"

"...if you don't meet me in my bedroom tonight, I'll come into your room and blow you up, un." Deidara glared, trying to control his anger that he would take out on the Uchiha later that night.

"Fine. What exactly are you planning to do to me?"

"Torture you." Deidara smirked, his anger dissolving slightly.

"I hope your idea of torture is the kind I don't mind."

"Oh it is. Trust me. It is."

Deidara's ribbon of lies was still tightly wound. But for one night, he could pretend that it wasn't.

Okayyy, that turned out weirdly...
