Those Stars

A/N: There was a reason for my absence. I made a new account and tried to convince myself that I didn't need reviews, that I could live without the praise...but I was wrong. I can't. Nor can I forsake my loyal readers, reviewers, and followers anymore. My apologies. You shall not be without me anymore, for better or worse. (*marries readers* x'D) Anyway, I wrote this a few months before my "sabbatical" if you will and...it really matches what I'm feeling now so...enjoy. *goes and cries in a corner* D'X

I'm watching the stars come out,
brilliant and dark
with dots lighting the way
You would have loved this—
you always loved the stars
and how they reminded you there was always more
out there
But now
there's nothing in here.
You're out there
Somewhere
Because the alternative
is too difficult to entertain;
too hard to explain
too painful to name.
For if you're gone
then where am I?

I am nowhere.
I must not cry.
